This has gotta be one of the dumbest, most B.S. conversations in the history of EIS.
Resource sharing megacorping is one thing, and can be monitored if you're really serious about it... or you can just say "if we catch you, you're out" which is just as effective in the long run.
Info-sharing megacorping is ridiculous. There's a billion ways to pass info and nothing "wrong" with doing it (in moral terms). Good luck trying to prove that, you'd have an easier time proving OJ's guilt.

Its not a hard Question nor one that you should hesitate to answer. So if you would..Which is it?? What you told me and the corp?? or some other reason?
Well i saw the conv too and it wasnt from BH. These things keep coming up around you SG because of your actions. You lie and get caught lieing. Therefore it is assumed that everything you say is a lie. This is your fault. No one elses. You use shaky tactics so therefore when something comes up peeps assune the worst and rightly so. Change your ways or be forever defending your actions. Its up to you. Says the cheater who got banned from UTW for several violations... I have known Space Ghost for more than a decade. First as an opponent, later as a corpie and personal friend. He never lies.
I do have to say, I have played against SG, and with him on several times, and would corp with him again in a heart beat, even though we don't always agree on everything. But a liar? no SG is far from it. Hell he pisses everyone off with the truth, why does he need to like. Hes the Ghost everyone loves to hate.
But hes the ghost that has always speeked the truth, and has my respect as a tw player and as a friend.
But Parrot on the other hand, if things don't go his way, will lie and claim things just to put someone down. Hes to quick to throw a punch instead of actually think about whats going on and what happened. Thats why he has no respect and will never get it unless he changes.

WHATS NOT OK:
1- Logging in as another trader.
2- Spamming Fed or Hail Spamming.
3- Agreeing before the game to work with another corp to eliminate all the other competition then call stalemate.
4- Duping.
WHAT IS OK:
Everything else.
As long as every corp is trying to win then they can use whatever tactics they feel appropriate even if others may feel its unethical. I will ICQ someone in a heartbeat and give up an enemy location if I feel it benefits my corp.

I agree with D that there's not much point in placing rules on your site, if you can't enforce them. I'm just now kinda unclear as to what MegaCorping is definded as.
A lot of this sounds like information sharing between corps. Do we define that as not allowed? If so, how can you prove the offence, and enforce the rule?
If I were you I would not even touch that rule. "Megacorping" you will just be causing yourself grief in the end. It's much too hard to monitor all the * that goes on as it is. IMO.
Wow, another year of filter changes and our posts will look like this:

Like I said in the past, Posts like this gives me a clear view
on witch side of the fence players are on, and how ethical
and sportmanship like they are. as far as passing info to
another corp is a low tatic! But at the end of the day its just a game.
and breaking rules is a no biggie acording to what im reading here.
And players will say anything to Justify Cheating!
too bad Martha Stewart didn't have you guys as a Judge!

The only thing you ever owned is the Gaint Family Sized Tube of Vasaline and a rolled up towel you stole from the gym.

hmmm...where to start?
SG mentioned a case of info sharing in a USO tournie and I was a member of the Good Guys corp who recieved the 'heads up' about being invaded and didn't affect me at all as I was colo sniping at the time and napping. Woke up #SD# as had lost base fig...gotten photoned and snuffed! hehehe...considered it unfair that the corp who got us was deleted from game as there was nothing any of us could have done with the warning anyway.
Just a couple thoughts about ethics of warfare (and IMHO blowing ports is a legitimate tactic...with one MAJOR exception where Xide blew Stardock about 2 1/2 hours into the last USO he played thus effectively destroying the chances for newbs and rusties to learn from a major game!)....
