T's commwatch allows you to watch the comms, but not reply... IIRC. There's also the stats window and the visual map. Those are the 3 reasons that keep a lot of us in swath.

Well we will be look for a workaround to this, but actually the bot does have the ability to send chats via the self command.
Just chat like this:
>'this is a subspace chat
OR
>`this is a fedspace chat
Also the bot comes with Stats daemon. To open a stat window, use:
>stats
Not going to solve the tab issue, but just getting that out there.

an "F" key or the 10 keypad + sign or delete key or left shift...just about any large key will work for a redirect...I wouldnt use the backspace key tho.

My solution so far is that I am making alternate hot key switches:
Left Arrow, Right Arrow as well as TAB
Also now you can get to self command through the down arrow as well as the up arrow and the > key.
I have to test these changes still, but they are looking good and should be up by tonight for those who are interested.
Any feedback on the choices are welcome.

New bot 3.00 on:
http://www.grimytrader.com and http://www.mindovermattertw.com
Fixed some issues with command line and external command processing. Changed so that external commands now override internal commands if they are the same. Any problems people are having with commands not working should be fixed with this version.
Soon will be adding help directory to folder structure to handle help files externally from the bot for better modularity. Implementation is done, but we need to remake all the help files. bleh.
Anyone who is using this bot, please let us know of ANY issues you are having. Contact our icq in the bot manual inside the download or email me at ruzicksp@uwec.edu .
Email address is only good for another 3 months, but I check it often.

so, i joined a game with a random dude the other day, he was using the mombot.. omfg, can you make it not spam subspace so much? that's effing annoying.
why the hell is it telling me everytime he completes a twarp, or a mow, or puts credits in a cit, etc... every little freakin detail it spouts out on subspace like i care?

That is because he is using the bot functions to do them things. The messages are there because they are bot functions. If you bot a corpie to twarp then you want to know that he completed the twarp. Same with the mow and most other functions.

guess I should explain more. instead of just twarping normal he is using the command >twarp xxxx. and instead of deposing the credits with tt from cit he is boting it with >dep.

Slim: I have never heard anyone complain about the spam before, but if it ever becomes a large issue I am sure we could make self commands not send out ss.
Zark: I didn't know there was an issue, so I highly doubt it is fixed. I will look at it tonight later.
Any other bugs, let us know.

Sometimes it does make sence. You wanna twarp from stardock bach to you r home sector (assuming you set (H)ome in prefs) then from the stardock menu he could just do >twarp h The bot would then quickly (avoiding the killers at stardock) and take him hiome. Also if there was an issue at home where he needed to land on a planet quickly then he could add the planet number. >twarp h 40
So sometimes the self commands are very useful.

Also the fact that twarp, pwarp, bwarp, mow, deposit, and withdrawl, qset are all shortcutted the first letter of each command.
For Example:
Twarp to home sector
>t h   ;
Pwarp to alpha_centauri
>p a
Bwarp to sector 23
>b 23
Mow to stardock
>m s
Deposit all cash in citadel
>d
Withdraw 500000 credits from citadel
>w 500000
Set atmosphere cannon to 50000 damage.
>q a 50000
Set Sector cannon to 50000 damage
>q s 50000
So you can use the full command or the shortcuts, whichever you prefer.
