I have to uninstall and reinstall my TWGS software into a different directory than it's in now. For the details, I have to move from it's current location of C:\Program Files\Epic Interactive Strategy\TWGS to a new location of C:\TWGS
DOS is having an issue with the long filenames.
Question is. I know how to move the software, but how can I do so, without loosing my games in play. I can back up the tw1,tw2, etc files, but when I reinstall the software in it's new location it wont have these games in the command center, so I have to bang them to make it work? Then overwrite the folders with the saved data?
Please help me so I don't screw this up!

I've done this before, but went from one drive letter to another.
1. Install the TWGS in it's new location.
2. Run TWGS and enter the Configuration to make sure all paths are correct. Set your node #'s, etc.
3. Go to the Games tab and create the games as if you were starting from scratch. By default it will make a TW1, TW2 directory. Be sure you set to your preferences.
4. Close and Exit TWGS. Copy your old TW1, TW2, etc to the new game location directory. Then when you start your TWGS the games are there in the Command Center in each slot you made.
I do this when moving from the OCS server or main server to my backup TWGS. I also do this if a game corrupts and I need to restore from a previous backup.

Personally, I would just archive each game, reinstall twgs where you wanted it and import the games back in.

Well, turns out that if you uninstall TWGS it doesn't remove the old registry files, I had to manually tweak the registry to the new locations, but for the most part all went well. I got it moved, and all games running, only one player lost cause he cby'd laff.
Now on to the next phase...

OK, new problem. I got this reinstalled and everything was fine, even banged new games. Now all of a sudden when I try to edit settings in the editor, I'm getting a message that I'm unregistered, and can't change any settings, but in the configuration menu I show I'm registered. What gives?

Which part shows you are unregistered?
There are two registration sections IIRC.

Hmm, in the TWGS Server Menu I hit configure, then tab registration, I see registered. What other place do I look?

Recopy and paste your reg codes in the TWGS reg area again. that will fix that problem.
