My intent is just to play, and to enjoy the company of others. I have no interest in being the uber awesome have to win or I cant look my self in the mirror the next day kind of player.
Plus I remember the way the screen looked when tw term
was running and that is how I want to play tradewars.
Please dont take this personaly but most of you will prolly never see me, I am however asking how to set up tw tem,
to the accomplishment of that I AM willing to install additional software if I have to.

There are very very few players using dialup BBSes. You'll find more players on the telnet circuit. If it's a money thing, get the free zoc version and twx proxy... you'll be right there with the rest of us with minimal effort.

And if someday you want to play torpsie w/ the rest of us, you'll be ready to.

i suggest avoiding anything that says "unlim" or "unlimited turns" for the most part, if there are other people in it, you'll be an instant target, but if you find some slow, low turns game (like it used to be) you'll probably be able to muddle along just fine and hopefully enjoy yourself.
There was a game somewhere recently that has a very new/returned player in it also, and i mean very new, and he's still alive after 3 weeks, i suggest you maybe check out that game as it sounds social and non-aggressive.
