This is not ment as SMACK, Everyone remember we are in the OPEN forum and Smack is determined by others. So please I am serious in asking this question.....
Nominations Should we ? Do we ask Earth to allow the USERS to elect whom we want as Admin/Mods?
I repeat NOT SMACK... We all seem to have voiced our opinions on them why not ELECT them and have the ability to VOTE!

Well, the idea sounds intereresting. However, the user base would have to be established with much stricter methods than this forum. I mean what is to stop anyone from having 10 dupes in here when all you can do is go make a new web based email addy?
No IF you had said the voters can only be say TWGS owners. That at least would curb duping.

Well Big D your point is well taken, The TWGS owners have paid EIS for their product, what better way than for them to have the ones who have a vested interest than to have them oversee the forums !

Laff. I own a TWGS as well, but... the lessons of history are quickly forgotten it seems.
Do you really think that most of today's sysops are either qualified or interested in answering serious player questions?
Who do you think is more likely to invest that time, a player or a sysop?

This seems to come back to the basic TW player mentality- they want something for nothing. They get to play for free, and gripe at the sysops if they don't get their way.
If you want a vote, then throw down some cash and contribute.

I own a twgs as well. If i would get rid of a couple of the mods and admins i would help out. But not as a mod or admin, way too many whiners and crybabies any more. I sure know more about the game than some of these guys running this forum now!

Sounds good to me. I mean if a guy were to buy EIS, then I'm sure his vote would over rule the rest. lol

LOL... sys-ocracy. Not going to work any better.
If a person wants to dedicate their time to answering player questions they aren't asking for something for nothing, they're offering something for nothing. It's the exact opposite of what Oso said.
What's so freaking scarey about giving registered players the ability to vote on their moderators? Why is that so threatening? I would think the current admins would jump at the chance to say "I told ya so" while forcing the masses to shut the heck up.

That would be fine with most sysops too. I was trying to think of a way to keep dupers from casting multiple votes. I mean the screening process for members in this forum is shall we say, somewhat relaxed.

Actually you are one of the few moderators that do have a beside manner so to speak. I don't have a problem with your methods at all.

I agree on some points as to what people are wanting, and would gladly step down if someone was asked to take over.
