Looks like a Moderator sitting idly. With what appears to be a bad case of tunnel-vision. But that's just an uneducated guess

lol, well there is carjacking and there is forum thread highjacking. No one who has ever carjacked a car has done it more efficiently than the forum highjacking that is done by the posters here.

Don't send the backspace.

I use it all the time.

The result of issueing a #145 will be two newlines, followed by the prompt, followed by ascii 145 and a backspace.

i don't think you understand what i'm asking. the way its *supposed* to work is this:

you send #145 to twgs
twgs sends 2 newlines, the prompt, #145, and a backspace

so my question is this: do you see the twgs sending that #145 back? i don't.

I figure this somewhat explains why it is not acting as it described to:

"In some cases, there will be additional
dynamic
information following the ascii 145, so it is not guaranteed that the
145
will be at the end of the prompt line.
IMPORTANT:  This is experimental.  Do not integrate this
fully
into your scripts or helper until it has been verified to be effective
and locked in as a feature."Though, maybe just empty spaces are ignored by your terminal or maybe by TWGS packet sending or something like that? (or stripped)

btw if swath throws out a #128 instead of #145 what does it matter.Twx processes it b4 swath ever sees it.
if u have a swath thing working in conjunction twx then remap #128 to #145....instructions are in the help file.

Ok, did a little test and only noticed one strange thing which is at the #42 CURRENTANSILINE, a ascii character is inserted at the end of the prompt and and after the "Command" in both of the last ones (for code 42 *), as shown below in the file write portion:

Test Script
Code:
setVar $filePath "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\test.txt"

send #128
setVar $what CURRENTLINE
setVar $t1 "CURRENTLINE 128 (" & #128 & ")*" & $what & "----*"
write $filepath $t1

send #128
setVar $what CURRENTANSILINE
setVar $t2 "CURRENTANSILINE 128 (" & #128 & ")*" & $what & "----*"
write $filepath $t2

send #145
setVar $what CURRENTLINE
setVar $t3 "CURRENTLINE 145 (" & #145 & ")*" & $what & "----*"
write $filepath $t3

send #145
setVar $what CURRENTANSILINE
setVar $t4 "CURRENTANSILINE 145 (" & #145 & ")*" & $what & "----*"
write $filepath $t4

send "*"
waitOn "Command"
setVar $what CURRENTLINE
setVar $t5 "CURRENTLINE (" & #42 & ")*" & $what & "----*"
write $filepath $t5

send "*"
waitOn "Command"
setVar $what CURRENTANSILINE
setVar $t6 "CURRENTANSILINE (" & #42 & ")*" & $what & "----*"
write $filepath $t6

---- is used to display were the end of the prompt line actually is  as in "----", with no spaces after the included variable

# is used to represent the ascii characters as they are only visible in the text file...

File Write:
Code:
CURRENTLINE 128 (€)
Command [TL=00:00:00]:[1] (?=Help)? : ----

CURRENTANSILINE 128 (€)#
Command [TL=00:00:00]:[1] (?=Help)? : ----

CURRENTLINE 145 (‘)
Command [TL=00:00:00]:[1] (?=Help)? : ----

CURRENTANSILINE 145 (‘)#
Command [TL=00:00:00]:[1] (?=Help)? : ----

CURRENTLINE 42 (*)
Command'# [TL=00:00:00]:[1] (?=Help)? : ----

CURRENTANSILINE 42 (*)#
Command'# [TL=00:00:00]:[1] (?=Help)? : #----
