I was just saying it is nice to have choices, what is wrong with having more options? It is better for those with ready made corporations that want to play, though will do so with their corp., and as well it is also good for those whom are solo, as they will be taken care of by the randomizer.
Though, a randomizer does not guarantee that all the corps, will be evenly matched, as it could just as well randomly create a corporation of newbies vs. a corporation of skilled players, visa versa and any other combination you could imagine... doing it this way though would fulfill the needs of both already corped and of those that are solo players. i.e. It both maintains and creates more interest in the long term scheme of this idea being suggested.
* Of course the randomizer could have a ranking system built into it to insure all teams are somewhat evenly matched or to ensure that certain players are never placed on the same corp.

Nuff Said. Well if the majority of people want a BYOC, who are you to tell them they cant do it? If you don't think your corp can present a challenge then try your luck with the randomizer. No need to get bent out of shape about it. Its just a discussion. Fork it was already discussed, it was going to be random teams, if you want a byoc start a byoc, is it that hard? Before you comment try going back to the begenning of this thread and maby then you will see what was already decided.
Ya know Baited, I read back from the beginning of the thread and in general "byoc" was mentioned more than once from a few people. Its not like this is the first time it was mentioned. This isn't your private forum for your wants and opinions only. Everyone is free to comment here.

Ok I see the confusion, Lets clear it up,
So far its still up on corp size 3,4,5
Time limit looks like 8 or 12 hours
Edits RevStock (mbbs)
Foton yes 2 second,
Turn bank 2,3 days
Corps will be random.
Game bang on the 20th
I believe thats the jist of it. Please everyone continue to post your votes.
And prolly shoud have the random corps done at least 2 days before game so people can get familar with their corpies.

That way when people comment and agree to play a game they play the edit as is, not under some misunderstanding that the edits might be malleable. That way when people actually go to sign up they aren't "signed up" by mistake to a game they don't want to play.
And incase nobody ever reads my posts (laff) I said this would happen like last week. There are too many different elements to the game, some people like one element, others like another. You'll never get a big group of people that share your exact interests. The only thing you can do is pick an edit you like and ask for players, because most people will never agree on an edit.
I'm not sure if you were directing this post at me or not Sing. But nothing has been decided so far that can't be changed by public opinion. If you notice in my post I said,
"here's what I see for the 1st game so far"
I'm still watching the posts, we really do need a voting system on some of this. Maybe some polls on the setting and let everyone vote on some of these issues. Democracy is great.
Nothing is set in stone so far, even the start date can be changed.

Okay I'm confused. We have one person saying the edits have already been decided on, and another person saying its still up for debate. If the edit has already been decided then lock the thread and post a sign up sheet. If it hasn't then lets put up a poll and respect each others opinions.

laff... laff... laff...
all i have to say about this entire thread...
if you maniacs ever figure this thing out give me a shout...
seemed pretty simple.. we get together for some good turns games and change the edits each game..
some games you may HATE the edits.. some games you might LOVE the edits..
I personally am in favor or the random corp generator.. woudl be fun to corp with diff peeps each game and learn more about different people.. i dont know why people are attacking baited...

I'll be banging the game, and I don't see where much at all has been decided on. I don't give a hoot one way or the other what the settings will be since I won't be playing. But somone needs to step up and make a create a system to this. Maybe a website to sign up, and a place to create the corps if it is going to be random generated. Also may put some polls up to resolve some of the game type issues. It's really hard to tell what people want by reading 150 posts in a thread that has 10% flame material. I mean I can take my best guess right now and post the settings I think the majority want, but not sure what else to do at this point.

You know, I've been thinking overnight. What if someone set up a forum area just for the turn players that are interested in this, (Possible Turn League), where they can vote in polls on game settings and such.
Someplace where email address's can be verified and teams can be chosen. This will also help eliminate dupes and let players know exactly who will be playing. Then the games can be set up in advace and the game accounts created easier. I mean a lot of things have to be considered here.
1) What type game
2) Where's the next game
3) Who will play
4) Who won the last game
5) Who is best so far
This needs to be run sort of like the TW League was except for turn games only. Is the TW League still around?

Ah crap, you had to go and mention TW league. Now it's all doomed.

I don't know about that. I think Stonewall and crew did a very good job of keeping that league going for as long as they did. Not saying it couldn't be done better, but there are a lot factors to take in consideration to pull off a big thing like that. I think the TW League was very good for TW and we really do need things like that to keep players active in the game.

This is a little off of ths topic, but for those interested, I have a turn game (tournament) opening tonight. For details, see the website below
http://www.silverwingstwgs.com
Hope to see some of the turn players there. There is a preview game in the game (S) spot that will run until 6pm EST tonight for those that want to see the game edits in advance.

Ya lets keep the TWLeague out of this. All it did was make players think about ways to change the point count. Nobody agreeded on how just like no one agrees here.
As far as edits and time limits go maybe as i suggested at many pages ago in this thread is to do a stock planet and stock ship game. Time limits I agree with all i like them rarely but I like change so again like most have said lets do time limit first game and if no one likes it next time change it.
I also offered to host the game the first round and that offer is still there.

I agree on the points standing stuff. Like I said, it could be done better. All anyone should have to worry about at the end of a game is who won and who lost.
As far as hosting the game, it makes no difference to me. I offered to host it because I thought you wanted to play. But if you'd rather host it and not play, I'll step back.
