I am posting a random corp generator in the scripts forum along with a couple of test generations.

My vote
1) Sectors:    10k

2) Turns        1000

3) Corp Size  3

4) Time Limit: Yes

     C) 4-8 Hours Usually don't care for time limits but would like to try it

5) Turn Bank: Yes

     A) 2 days

6) Non-MBBS or MBBS

7) Photons:   Yes

     A) 1-2 seconds

Aliens: No

9) Edits: non fig producing planets and no product on them
That about does it for me.
Not sure what all the arguing is about lets just play one and give it a shot if we don't like it we can change it next round.  A bang tonight is way to soon as i would of missed it.
Also if game is not default edits be nice to have edits posted in game or before hand less it is a totally new game then everyone in same boat as long as gameop doesn't tell anyone and no 1 tpw ship maybe just the scout be at 2 tpw

Seeing as how this doesn't seem to be a byoc game, please put my name on the want-to-play list.

I can't make a bang before the weekend either, tho and I'd prefer more notice than "banging tonite" if y'all don't mind.

As for edits, I don't care except for NO ALIENS and I'd rather have corp limit of more than 3.

If y'all want to play the extreme blue games (pirates or moo2) I'd be happy if you played it while I'm away (most of feb.)

Posting the edits somewhere so they are available to everyone well prior to game bang is essential, IMHO

None of the things being voted on are going to help me make my decision. I'll vote if I decide to play.

The thing I want to understand is how teams will be selected. Is it going to be Promethius random generator?

The way I see it from the 100 post in this tread, is that 1k turns is the most requested.  I have RevStock banged and ready to open.  I trust Rev's ability to bang a decent turn game and everyone seems to agree that that game would be good.  Rev does have ansi descriptions included with the bang, so you'll have some info there and I'm sure Rev won't mind posting any information about that game that is needed.   From what I've seen the preference in sectors have ranged from 5k to 10k, so I don't see a problem with leaving them at the original 7k sectors that Rev has set.
Now for a bang time.  We need to jump on this before it gets cold, but also need ample time for corps to prepare.  However; no ones seems to want to set a bang date and I'm sure everyone won't agree on this so I'll step up.  I'll open the game on Saturday, January 20th.  Opening time will be 9pm EST (that's 6pm pacific time)  That should allow most players in the US to get in the game and allow me to be there to open it.
I hope this suits the majority, that's all I can do.
Repeat  Saturday, January 20th at 9pm EST
I will post it on my website also
http://www.silverwingstwgs.com
Give me a day to update it though.

I'm pretty sure that Promethius has offered the services of a random corp generator. I think we decided early on that corps would be randomly chosen instead of BYOC.

I think you might want to bump the sectors up to 10k but the turns at 1k seem appropriate.

Here are the people who have voted and what the final tally for the vote settings are at this time. I expect probably a few more people will vote on some things, but this is what we have today and what seems most likely. Not everyone voted for all of the questions, some just said “I want this and this” and didn’t mention a preference for other settings.

10k sectors (80% of the votes)
1k turns (90% of the votes)
4 man corps (72% of the vote including Any, 50% of the vote without “any”)
Time limit of 8 hours or More (60% vote for a time limit on the FIRST GAME)
Turn Bank 2-3 days (Split Evenly for 2 or 3 days, 2 people voted for ANY)
Photons Yes 2 Seconds (62% votes)
MBBS (44% for MBBS, 77% including “Don’t Care”)
Aliens No (Unanimous)
Edits: Revstock = 50% votes

Vote Breakdown

Sectors
5k(1)
7k(1)

Non-Fig/Product Producing Planets (1)
No Extreme Blue Edits (1)

I tried to include a link to the RevStock game settings so everyone could know how it is set up, and I thought Rev sent a link of where the settings could be viewed ahead of time, but going back through this thread I was mistaken. We will have to wait for Rev or Big D to tell us where the edits will be displayed ahead of the game.

Here are the people who want to play that I know of, and again, not everyone voted at all even, this is just a list of people in this thread who expressed interest in playing. If you guys are still all interested, make sure you “Raise your hand” for the roll call here by responding back to this post and saying something like “Yes, I’m Playing” or “No, I’m Not Playing.” The next step is getting a list of players so the corporations can be randomly generated. If anyone else wants to play who hasn’t posted in this thread, start speaking up. The Game Bangs January 20th!!!

Well thanks

I'm really excited about having a non-solo turn game worth playing.

If you can't tell!

I look forward to play. I am on a winter exercise with the corps that weekend and return on 21-Jan-07. I'll be a day behind, but I will be there.

Suggest Team Leaders be selected before the bang to avoid chaos. I don't care how they are selected or who they are.

i don't have any html listing of the edits. however, there is an active revstock game online on my server - nobody is playing it really - so feel free to check out the edits yourself. like i said, all the edits are visible in the ship and planet ansis. the only interdictor is named 'interdictor' and the only tholian is on the flagship (ceo only). iss is blue only and no ships have exp requirements. if you read the text of the ship descriptions you can learn all of that stuff, including that the interdictor can't land on a planet and that the frigate doesn't have a pod.

ps i'm in.
