at the same time...

Which one should be loaded first?  For example I am running dny_quick_pdrop and I want to run _t_cit_killah too. Which should get loaded first?

Or I want to run a photon script (which returns to my base after firing) and I want to run _t_cit_killah to protect my home sector.

Finally what order should saveme and cit_killah be loaded?

Well if the person is online at the time hitting figs, if you load the pdrop script, it will go off while you load the cit killa one most likely. Best to load the killa then the pdrop.

If I were to load scripts, I would do killa, saveme (driver), then either your photon or pdrop.

But that's just me.

they are working off different triggers so it should not matter

Since I don't run these particular scripts, I may be off base:

The photon/cit killah might possibly cause a problem due to the photon script wanting to take you home. If a player warped into the sector prior to the photon script trying to go home, cit killah would fire. It is possible your photon script is a complete macro burst from start to finish, and if so the possibility of problems becomes pretty much nil. If it uses a delay before returning, there could be a problem.

Cern, btw, slight tweak to that script on my site (just put it up there) to fix a timing issue that could arise w/ this combo.

Just to backup what others have said...

The actual order of load does not matter. Identical triggers will fire in the order they're made, but they're all set to different things so they're not identical.

What will matter is trigger conflicts and occasionally script timing. If you've got someone else doing a pdrop and you're running citkilla it's possible that they could drop, you'd lift and attack and the pdropper might return on you leaving you stranded in the sector.

If you're running the pdropper tho that won't be a problem, citkilla macros everything past the scan IIRC so the return macro will just get squeezed in either before or after the attack burst... meaning you either just miss or you return after killing. Still, the 30 second return timing should be enough to eliminate that problem completely.

The photon script I have on my site is a complete macro burst... it's...
Code:
send " p " & $adj_fig & " * y c p y " & $hit_sec & "* * q p " & $return_sector & " * y "

You'll be in and out before you have a chance to lift, even if they do warp in on you. You won't scan the sector till after you've returned and it won't target anyone as a result.

In TWX, just start one script and then a second one.

$ss "script1.ts" and it fires $ss "script2.ts" and it fires up. The will not terminat until they end or the user aborts them - or in my case sometimes error out.

SC,

I asked this because a game I am playing on Outpost is locked up.  If my corp can hold what it has until Dec 31st, we win because the conditions for the win are the capture of 8 alien worlds and we have them all.

There is one corp that has the resources to try and dig us out and if they can cap just one of our alien worlds they would probably win because they have more resources than we do.

The problem is that we have the grid, ~197xx sectors and they only have their bubble (and the 11 fedspace sectors) to move around in without hitting our figs and getting photoned or pdropped for their trouble.

So I asked the question because I and my corpies needed to figure out how to run an offensive script and a defense/kill script at the same time.

So that is the background. They made a big mistake when that they moved into a bubble and ignored the grid and before they knew it, their bubble was 218 sectors and our bubble was ~19770 sectors, leaving the 11 Fed Space sectors for those who are fedsafe.

I am wracking my brain trying to figure out what they will do to try and stop us from winning.  I am focusing on grid defense because they have find our alien planets and take one of them but they have to cross our grid to do so.

Cernnunos

PS also we are all pretty new, I think I and a guy named Ice on the other team are the most experienced. (And I am not all that experienced or good) But their biggest problem (and ours, if the positions were reversed) is that we don't work together as a corp, we seem to play as individuals who only share the same team.  That is our biggest fault.  Any disciplined corp could walk right in and clean us up.

Fill up your alien planets w/ ore. Put a big wall of planets in front of them. Every day after extern put a lot of planets in the front sector... all full of ore. Before extern runs, move them back. Put millions of figs in the door. Keep your planets stocked w/ ore.

Your grid makes perfect cover. Keep up the grid defense and make sure they don't know where your base is... you'll last a week, easily.

As for rogue corpies... heh, I get nasty real quick. Had a player do that once and I took all his figs and put him in a DE behind a wall of 500k personal figs. You are only as strong as your weakest player.
