Just a quick question. I've got a lot of messages coming into my message box in game due to a lot of the sectors being gridded. My question would be Is there a way to turn off messages or completely or partially or at all. If you've got any ideas how to help me out that would be great.

Nothing to stop them from coming into your inbox though?

Not that I'm aware of. I just have to can the messages as the 1000 or so display, then clear the mailbox manually. But it quickly fills as you say in a game that's moving and ya got a good grid. Almost makes me hate to grid a game. But then again, you need it.

I think vidkid wrote a script that cleans the mail-box automatically as you log into a game.. u might try grimy's or ask Vid.

You can delete all of your messages with two keystrokes

That doesn't work for unread messages however. You can do this...
And read the messages w/ abort, then erase them.

I just record a macro: y<space>
Then play that back a few hundred times. That way all the messages display just in case there's something useful you need to scroll back to.

when messages are scrolling by at login, you see this:
[Pause]
if you hit "a" on that, it won't show you any more. once you're in the game, you can hit ":" and delete all your messages.
