I imagine he'd react the same to the way Jefferson would over the Democratic party has been portrayed.
To each their own and to the rest nothing!

Imagine what would happen in the USA if they allowed people to be turned away from the ballot box because of their Religious beliefs.
If their houses were burned, their men shot, their women raped, and their children left for dead.
If their leaders were arrested and murdered.
If they were driven from state to state until they fled the country.
If their land was taken from them by the government or devalued.
If their men were conscripted into the military and had to march in a war with a foreign power.
Wait, it's already happened once.
I wonder if it will happen again.

sigh..how things seem to have changed since DDE gave these warnings and same with Jefferson in last post. [B)]
In the councils of Government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the Military Industrial Complex.. Eisenhower should have mentioned using imminent domain to take property too.
Here in WA we've had a bad time with that.

Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry......
Unfortunately that hasn't happened for a while...
Today people don't take the "civic responsibility" seriously...
And IMHO that is because of the current state of campaining... Most of the candidates today only throw mud and other excrement at each other. There is no real debate on the issues that could/would affect us.
It is Candidate A got caught doing something "immoral" or "unethical", and this is why we should vote for Candidate B. Then Candidate A starts saying well Candidate B did this and that instead of saying hey people enough of this dirt, This is what I plan on doing if I am elected.
Paraphrasing an old saying If a lie is repeated enough eventually it will turn in to the truth.
Sorry for the PWD* here but just had to say something.
