I was thinking it would be kewl to have a sort of public notepad were one could quickly post their daily/weekly/monthly, (and for some of us quarterly/annually) ideas, thoughts, ramblings, etc., without having to worry about being persecuted. If others have remarks, comments, etc., about a post here they can simply fire up a new topic related to that specific post and offer a discussion or opposition on it. This is meant to be similar to FC’s thread about jokes and such, though this is focused for those times when you come up with any relevant ideas, thoughts, sayings, and whatnot; and rather then allowing them to just go to waste (as I often do), I was thinking why not make them public and permanent instead? Here are a few things I came up with as an example.

“Philosophy serves to teach us that the proverbial we are incapable of licking our own elbows; that still yet the proverbial we even after having discovered this newly found and timeless intellect will not nor ever be prevented from attempting to achieve that type of improbably sorted tasking.”

“Most people are only willing to admit that they are sorry, when the have dialed a wrong number.”

…and with that it would be interesting to see the sort of things some people come up with. Enjoy!

“Violating the laws of protection in an effort to create a new law of protection is of a truly great injustice to be force fed to all those subordinate and heeding to the powers of their government, therefore choosing by their own willingness to abide by those substantiated laws of protection. This injustice may not be perceived within the next 2 years, 5 years, or 150 years, though it shall be eventually perceived by a future generation non the least, make no mistake that this type of immortal mentality only serves to pave the way for newer generations to themselves lend towards these sorts of abuses much like that of class action ruling of findings by a court of law.”

hmmm...guess I'll just add a few thoughts from others occasionally.
...................................................................
Don't go around saying the world owes you a living; the world owes you nothing; it was here first.

Few things are harder to put up with than the annoyance of a good example.

Do the right thing. It will gratify some people and astonish the rest.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.

We are discreet sheep; we wait to see how the drove is going, and then go with the drove.

Whenever you find you are on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

It is better to deserve honors and not have them than to have them and not deserve them.

A classic is a book which people praise and don't read.

It usually takes more than three weeks to prepare a good impromptu speech.

** Mark Twain [Samuel Langhornne Clemens] (1835-1910)**

"Our safety, our liberty, depends upon preserving the Constitution of the United States as our Fathers made it inviolate. The people of the United States are the rightful masters of both Congress and the Courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution."

Abraham Lincoln

Outside Independence Hall when the Constitutional Convention of 1787 ended,
Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin,
"Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?"
With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, "A republic, if you can keep it."

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) US Founding Father 1787

Wake up and realize they did it and gutted Articles 4, 5 and 6 of Bill of Rights and then see what else you find checking for details going back to a gathering of English Nobles several centuries ago that set principle of English Common Law and much of our American Law...you are correct about habeas corpus!

Why do I get the feeling that Abraham Lincoln would have been disturbed about the manner in which the political party which claims his name has been diverted and perverted?

“Republicans are for both the man and the dollar, but in case of conflict the man before the dollar”

“Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.”

“To stand in silence when they should be protesting makes cowards out of men”

“These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert, to fleece the people”

“The best way to get a bad law repealed is to enforce it strictly.”

“I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him.”

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”

“You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.”

“If I had eight hours to chop down a tree, I'd spend six hours sharpening my ax”

“The ballot is stronger than the bullet.”

*** above quotes from Abraham Lincoln ***
