Just asking it anyone has checked out the GATH/TWX combo...heard about GATH some time back and have not seen much posted about it since initial release. Anyone checked out or tested it to see how well it works with TWX 2.03 as it seems to have been initially coded to work with TWX 2.02? No clue how buggy GATH might be.... Thanks!

Yes , I have tryed Gath .. excuding Swaths map feature ..
Gath seems to be a stripped down version of swath .. a few macro keys and a way to launch twx scripts.

Its great as a back up if swath refused to auntenticate.
Otherwise your stuck with telnet .. and that suxs

Can anyone remind me of the command-line to set a ZOC F-key macro to load a TWX script?

'nother question.. I know this was brought up somewhere else, but can't find it in a search:

Is there anyway to disable sound in twx? Say for busts and/ or server shutdowns, ect. I can't find anywhere in the setup to disable warnings, so I assume that twx is using windoze system sounds for busts and whatnot? I'm using ZOC as the terminal, so might I find something in that proggie that'll disable sound calls from twx?

to disable sounds you have a few options.
1- a, if the script is open source (twx), find the call sound lines and place an # at the beginning of each such line.
1- b, if the script is a rexx/zoc one find the call line and place before and after the specific line a "/*" sound line "*/"
2- the windows sound files are in the c:windows\media\ folder you can remove them to a subfolder of media unless you need the sounds for other windows apps.
3- if in zoc you can go to options\program settings\printer/sounds tab
and remove the specific entries for the events you want to silence provided they are listed.

Actually, I believe the sound that you are referring to is the ASCII bell character, #7 or 0x07. Swath has a checkbox under Preferences/General to disable it, but I'm not sure about ZOC. TWX doesn't react to the sound. It just passes it along to your telnet app like everything else. You could toggle on TWX's deaf client mode and create your own ASCII parsing routine to strip #7 before echoing data to the connected telnet app... but it's probably just easier to deal with it ;)

Still, feel free to shout if you need help with that deaf option.

Thanks guys... Zen gave me the idea with the printer/sounds tab in ZOC. I just created a "silent" wav file and used it as the remote beep option. =D
