I fail to see how we are getting "played". I like this game and it doesnt cost me anything to play it as much as I want. What more could you ask for?

John, I would not worry about it. After reading the posts here, it's obvious it will not drop as long as you get sucked into it and feed more into it. We all face adversity at times from disgruntled players, etc. How we choose to respond will determine the outcome. Look at it this way. Those of us that call you a friend still do so, even if any of the info was true or not. Whatever transpired between you and this person is none of my business. I judge not the actions of the past, but the character of the person. That has more measure to me.

The problem is posting in an open forum will not do either party any good. All that happens is lines are drawn, and the TW Community will be divided. I say just let it drop, and move on. If people want to call me a troll, jerk, whatever for my response, I say "Have a nice day" and I move on.

adding my 2 cents! JP was only contact I could find who responded to send the registration key to a couple dialup bbs's before he bought the code from MarTech back in Kansas 'during the days'.... TLCS and Frogland BBS's are a couple examples. He bought the code and applied his ideas to release TWGS and it was buggy at times. He spent his time to fix the bugs as they were brought to his attention and assembled a team to test bugs...or did they volunteer their services and suggest changes and fixes? Now we face an issue of a new release of TW that will probably be different from what we are used to in the years past. Some players will continue to play the game we learned to love...others will move to the next release...
Some will return to this version...others will love the new version.
Whatever happens we will have idiots complaining about changes, percieved slights, supposed snubs...etc.... Slim brought some of that into his posts! IMHO...I want to thank JP for all he has done to improve the game to the point where it is now! Thanks John....

I think the situation this "Pee Wee" lookalike is brining up, was when... man, I can't even remember the name of the developer, was going to do a "wow" or "eq" type game using the namesake "Trade Wars" (something about evolution goes here).. I don't know how many of you remember that, but as far as I remember, it had nothing to do with John, or the game itself, and the project was dropped shortly afterwords.

Now, personally, I have nothing to do with this guy, and actually wish he'd fall off the face of the planet. I'm looking forward to a new platform for TW, as WOW has already bored me to death :\

Forget these fools John, they don't mean ****. You've got your support, and if the game looks good, many of us can bring a crowd, good games are like crack, only takes a whiff to get people addicted! (isn't that right??? Yeah, you know who I'm talking to...)

Anyway, don't worry about this poser, he obviously has no clue what he's talking about.
