I'm having an issue with swath closing down every time I clear the screen saver.
Swath is running
Screen saver engauges
I move the mouse
Screen saver clears, and swath shuts down.
TWX remains active, but when I'm doing a ZTM I'm not sure how this will impact the relationship between the two programs.
Anybody else experience this and know how to fix it?
I'm also having issues with the new twx causing errors on shutdown, and I basicly have to reboot, because I can't clear that lovely "send report to Microsoft" window.

TWX will still be running your ZTM when you get back, as long as you dont reboot. I have never had SWATH crash or have any problems with screen savers.. If it were me I would re-install SWATH first then use another screen saver and see if its one or the other. You can be running a script in TWX and shut down SWATH, start it up again and connect to TWX and it will still be running the script.
Are you getting errors when you shut down TWX or the computer when TWX is running?

Well, I did just install another screen saver, I'll try a different one first and see what happens.
I get the errors when I shut down TWX, not shut down the computer. I forget the exact message, but it happens every time I shut down twx, and only happens sunce I upgraded to 2.04b. The error window keeps coming up, and when I close it, it just reappears again. The only way to shut it up that I've found is reboot. I'm about ready to reinstall 2.03 and see if that solves the issue. I'm running TXW on three different computers, and all three do the same after the upgrade.

SWATH had an issue with shutting down for no apparent reason at one time, but I have not had that happen for a while. The problem with the program shutting down and TWX still running is that TWX is capturing the data, but SWATH is missing it. You will need to import the ZTM into SWATH when it is complete to fill in the gaps.
One other issue I had with SWATH after a shutdown of this type is that the macros were not active. It appears that SWATH has to "see" the game login in order to read/start the macros.

Yeah yeah, everybody's a critic
TWX 2.04 has a known bug on exit that causes it to exit... shall we say, not so gracefully. I just didn't want to hold up the beta while I tracked it down. To the best of my knowledge, you should only see one or two messages generated by Windows when TWX exits, with no need to reboot.
Incidently, you shouldn't rely on a ZTM run in TWX to properly update the database in Swath. Stein may have made some improvements in the latest Swath, but earlier versions wouldn't properly parse the ZTM data for some reason. So always export the warpspec from TWX, and import it into Swath after ZTM'ing.

Other than the exit issue with 2.04 I see no adverse affect with the upgrade personally. Runaway dont let alittle thing like a dialog box on exit prevent you from enjoying 2.04

I think I might have found an error with isNumber checking involving very large numbers failing the test. I sent EP a message about it, though don't know if he ever got it?

There was something in SWATH that does cause it to just blow up at random it seemed.
The workaround was to uncheck the box for autosave.
Check to see if yours is set.

Well, that one or two won't go away here. I've hit the mouse button 50+ times and the window returns before I can say "cheese". It's getting to be a real pain in my arse!

I've tried not to, but re-read my previous reply ^

Well, it was checked, so I'll try that and see if it changes anything with Swath. Thanks for the tip.

You know you should be able to do a ‘Control-Alt-Delete’ and then click on ‘Task Manager’ and then the ‘Processes’ tab and look for ‘TWXProxy.exe’ and click on the name to terminate it, and then finally click on the confirmation and that should wipe it from windows.

Not to minimize the problem that you are seeing, but I haven't heard of TWX causing that persistent problem for anyone else. Please send me the configuration of your PC in a Private Message here, and we'll work to see if we can resolve it... at least to make it the minor bug we all know and hate. And just for kicks, try downloading TWX 2.04beta to a new directory, and starting with a blank database to see if that problem persists.
Also, it's my preference to address TWX problems at http://www.grimytrader.com , in the TWX Development forum, so please post there with TWX specific issues... so that these are addressed in a central place.
Keep me posted,

I've never had a problem with swath capturing TWX's ztm plots. I have, however, had screen savers freeze swath. I disabled screen savers for exactly that reason. I think it's an XP thing, for some reason when the screen saver kicks in something happens and my bandwidth slows to a halt.

I dont us screensavers but SWATH used to disappear on me regularly until I changed it to start up in win98 compatibility mode. I just live with the way 2.04 exits.
