 My server has been up over 1 yr now 9-20-2005.I was reading DarkStarbase post and it just struck me. I ran a BBS for 10 years and now here I am again. When I first started my BBS I would wake up every nite at 11:50 just like clock work and watch alll the maintance programs for the different games run. Then back to sleep. I was divorced for a while and had the system in my bedroom. That way I din't have to get up. Just rolled over watched them run.
Started with wildcat and migrated to syncronet. Those were really the good ole days. Bre, L.O.R.D ect. I has at one time 65 games on line. 6 lines and a roll over |

I too used to run a BBS, I was also a Fidonet Hub in Los Angeles, and ran a TBBS 16 line BBS. back in the MSDOS days. Those were the days... gosh I am old. OK is 41 old?

Yes... store and forward message and file systems.. I started with FrontDoor and Maximus grew to TBBS. I was one of the Los Angeles backbones for Fidonet. Called Nevada everyday for the days mail and sent it to the hubs. Looking back that was like BEFORE Al Gore invented the Internet LOL.
