I am a returning player and have been getting some training on the game as is playd now. now need to know some good servers to playe on. Already joined a corp. But want to know so can play outside of corp from time to time.

I have heard that UTW at ultimatetw.com is nice this time of year. [;)]

Suggest you check for game using http://www.thestardock.com/. Unlims are good, but not recommended for someone coming back into the game unless the game is very quiet. Ulimited move games are generally a kill fest. Truce games are a pain in the butt.

Thanks but no thank you, I have read the posts about their server, and not sure I wanna play there. I may visit to decide for myself tho, but am hesitant on that.I will try Promethius' suggestion, and go to thestardock and Silence's wait for jumpgate.

You could also try Darkstar Base, Outpost-4, Alien Base, Deep South, Simple Minds, Black Sun, or others like that if you wish, the all are good servers.

the posts regarding Ultimate Tradewarsare from VERY old grieveances and it seems likely, from my playing experience there, starting 1 or 2 months ago, that the problems that were complained most frequently about have been corrected. I tentatively suggest that the ppl who have complained (loudly) about past experiences look in their souls and try an age-old practice of forgive and forget. Although I think that Sage owes some ppl appologies for his over-the-line smack talk at the very least, he may have learned his lessons and have become a reasonable sysop/game op.

is off limits for the team to play. And other servers

snow, yes, my grievances are from the past, but all i need to do is read any forum anywhere to see *new* people complaining about there to know they haven't changed enough.

Ok, I have read the 2 forum links that you have posted. Before you contine to slam UTW based on that, you might want to investigate those forum posts.

Both links are to a posting by Nightmare. I was in that game, corped with Lord Talon and Maggie. I was Tramp. I first heard from Nightmare on fed as to how LT, maggie and I were all dupes. He had no evidence of course, because we are not dupes. When I asked him on what he was basing those accusations, he began name calling; all the familar names, and the c-word as well to maggie and I. (no, he was not calling maggie and I Canadians. [:D]] I requested that he make the accusation to the sysop, but he declined and continued for the next day or 2 with the name calling.

The second day or so, after I joined this game, somebody (I forget) started w/ the lyrics to a rap song on fed. Nightmare has wrongly attributed this to me (as Tramp) in the forum posts to which Rexx has provided the links. Nightmare asked that player if he was a wanna-be "******." That was the racial slur. I do not recall the lyrics as having the racial slur in it. That player apparently complained to the sysop about the racial slur and Nightmare was subsequently banned.

As for butcher's fed comm conversation, as quoted by Nightmare, it was distasteful and vulgar and the most disgusting that I have ever seen, but was in the bounds of referring to body parts and sex acts that is tolerated on fed com by most players as well as servers. I did not see that fed com conversation by butch. I assume that I was either not in the game yet, or that I had fed com off.

You should seriously consider basing your slams against UTW based soley on your own experiences there, which are ancient, rather than on other ppl's forum complaints without investigating their legitimacy. In this instance, Nightmare's claims are false, and his banning was legitimate. If I were in your position, I would consider deleting the post that you have written and that I have quoted.

And my reply to rexx applies to you as well. Are the *new* people that you are referring to as accurate with their claims as nightmare was?

Are you investigating those complaints? On what evidence are you continuing to base your complaints? Based on what evidence will you stop?

Like Nightmare you assume that people who post in support of a position are 'yes' men. Nightmare accuses sage and owen of playing favoritism and the really laughable thing about that is that the game I was playing with Lord Talon and SW at UTW was the first one I ever played there.
