Man... do I miss this game. I used to run this game back in the day when I had an actual BBS. I remember that we'd wait till 12:00 AM to log on and get our 'turns' for the day. The lines were usually ALWAYS busy. Heheheh. Ah, those were the days.

A few years back, I registered for a TradeWars 2002 (non GOLD) registration. We started to play the game again on-line. We had a lot of fun, but lost the game when there was a server crash. Fast forward a few years later.. (to present day) and we are kick'n around the idea of doing a game again.

I got everything all setup and ready to go... when I realized, that I have lost my registration key. I came here to find out who to contact and thankfully, I found an e-mail address from you all.

I'm not sure if I remember the SysOp name or BBS Name correctly. I *think* I remember what it was (it's been a few years now...) but I'm wondering how hard it's going to be to get this key. The only thing I have going for me right now, is the fact that the e-mail address that I used to register TW2002 is the SAME e-mail that I still currently have... so I'm hoping that they'll be able to pull it off that.

Anyone know how long it takes to retrieve a lost serial?

Email JP with as much info as you have, it usually doesn't take very long.

Why not just upgrade to Gold, it will make for a much more interesting game, once you learn the edits and how they work. Come what is the worst you are going to do, support EIS with your interest and a little of the cash you earned from all your hard work! [;)]

Either way, he needs his original reg codes to get the discount.

I'm a bit confused. I just registered my own TWGS and TW2002 with all the gold features. I got the email with all my information to register, but when I try to use the Command Center in TWGS I keep getting "unregistered server" and I don't know how to fix it. Anyone help?

Only asking because you did not make mention of it but you did copy and paste the codes from you email into their appropriate boxes within the configuration area/setup of the TWGS, right? The red text should change to green… You could also enter them editor one within the command center.

I figured out what it was.. I was entering the wrong BBS name in the Gold settings. Thanks for the post, though!

i lose my codes every couple years just to keep JP on his toes.

so what Does it cost to reg the tradewars game server if I have tradewars 2002, and Gold reg? let me know
