No one really SG we just started it but once banged there is no changes or moderator except for last man standing. This game will go on a year if need be, I am hoping that we won't need a moderator position on this one, Pretty cut and dry and the players themselves should be able to follow the orginal rules of the game. But we are open for ideas, Do you think we need a moderator? With as clear cut as the rules are?

Hey if your saying that Vulcan is in charge of the game im all for it...But the last Game i played on his server in a game that HE was NOT responsible for i heard similar ONE winner no matter what posts from people other then him.

This is a no holds bar game.. you want to mega corp fine.. most games doing it quietly and then deny it anyways. But only ONE team will win so you will have to kill off your mega corp to win.
BG
So i've decided to find out WHO is in charge of a game before i play it. I think you guys have a GREAT concept but i need to be sure whose making the decisions when Exturn runs Twice and the game is 45 days old.

well id say, incase of the 2 externs thing.. why not make the corp prove what they lost.. and if they cant, they dont get their stuff back.. but 2 externs is pretty rare, ive never been in a game where i happened, just one of those freak things. a BYOC is just like any other game really, so i dont really see a need for a moderator.. players can usually work things out on their own, and if nothing else.. have the dreaded vulcan step in.

The dreaded vulcan, HAH!!!
But no, just follow eleq's recent thread. As it was stated there, you can have batch files backup the gamefiles daily. That would completely alleviate the problem, as you could just start over from the day before(hell have the backup occur 3 hours before tern).

To me its clear cut and simple, you take your hits. If you overload its your risk. Take your losses and continue. Tedit is always a bad idea. But I won't be playing this game unless the Draft is over by then.

I'm in for the game...
I want to be assured that the game files are backed up every day tho before extern as to not have a catastrophe like what happened in the USO... Would be nice if the game is put on a separate really good computer if possible. I'd like the whole mega-corping to be explained a little more in depth tho as to clarify the supposively clear rules if you know what i mean... such as can 2 corps work together to turn one corp really red/blue... anyways... looking forward to reading all the edits/rules when they come out.

If extern runs twice, and you lose a bunch of ****, go on to the next game.
ITS A GAME.
Go read on the new twars forums, Tradewars is NOT meant to be an MMO where you build up **** for 2 years, it's meant to play a game, then move on to the next.
Sooooo... move on to the next, christ, why is this so hard?
p.s. no time limits.. lawl

Well I don't wanna call Vulcan the moderator per say, But if anything was to happen I would approve of him being the one to step in and decide the outcome of the issue, But as sing stated and as I have NO ONE will decide who wins but the corps. Last man standing is just that. But if a server error or some sysop controlled issue arises then if Vulcan is okay with it then he can decide the outcome but it's up to him, I was more along the lines of going with his normal server rules and having issues dealt with as if it was one of his normal games, Not a moderator just a sysop if that makes sense
