I can see why Bud not being CEO is ok. Whats His rep for games?

I have played both with and against bud. If I wind up having time to play, I will sign up just so I have the chance to support him again. For someone to whine that they won't play becasue so and so is CEO makes about as much sense as promoting WoW...

But anyways, When playing in a draft game I do look at who's CEO'ing, I may not have played with certain people, but I don't care. I still would not play under ones that I dislike even if its from their loud mouth on FED. If you don't like it to bad. Now this doesn't mean I would not play in a game with you in it, or others. It just means that with certain people as CEO's where I can't pick which CEO i goto or at least Which one I refuse to goto I would not play the game. Like I said before in the other thread, I will be happy to play the draft game "depending on whose ceoing" Just my oppion, flame on if you want, I really don't care.

Actually, now that I think of it, I will only play if Bud is a CEO....

There was a time when Res wanted to play Draft, and people wanted to bail as a result. I was one of them. I did NOT want Res to play. The ENTIRE TW community Bent over and took it so one person could play. Rules were changed, and 3 CEO's were made instead of 2. Dislike someone all you want. Trade Wars will roll so they can play.

Hehee, well at least now I have somebody else to blame it one! Finally, the pressure is off, whewww!

Having known bud for a very long time in tw's circles its very disconcerting to hear some of the things that appeared to have been said about him. Now i know from other personal tw's friends who i can trust that at times they were not happy with bud's smack talk on fed, however i've always told these people [1 of which is my best friend in tw's] that bud is a great player, and helluva lot of fun to corp with and play tw's with.

Back when i as learning and had the most fun playing tw's, probaly mid-late 90's, my 2 favorite and most often corped with players were nazwes chaiwind and bud... us 3 corped together in a lot of games. It was probably the most fun time i've ever had in tw's. [during the later part of that time period it ended up being me/bud/hellcat on a lot of teams which was even more fun and the convo's on subcom were hilarious .. i cracked up every night].

However bud i'm afraid to say i've seen the decline in tw's far before now. IT really started almost 2 years ago imo. As more and more servers went up the players got spread around to much. Personally i blame the trend toward unlimited turn games as well. Aways back most games were turn based and required buildup strategy to win. Now its all out killa fast blow em up end a game in 2 days script crazy games.

To make a long story short the game has progressivly changed by scripts and bounds, as well as by style of game prefered [tho i will not play and hate any game thats over 5k turns or unlimited], and of course ego's.

To be honest other then r/l issues, i'm betting a lot of the older players which i loved playing aginst left because of the constant bickering, jesturing, etc....

This is why i don't post much here, tho i've been around since its conception mostly as a lurker. This is why i don't vote in the tw's awards. There mostly a sham that turns into a massive argument, just like all the ridiculous tournaments. I refuse to waste my time in a tourney cause most of them end in tie, a corruption, a argument, or worste of all a point system [which is so friggin stupid ... woohoo i'll make 500 lvl 1's so i can get a lot of points ... or whtever].

Anyway i dislike where tw's is going and has gone, but i stick around cause of the few core friends i still chat with and corp with. Not much can be done about where its gone tho...

Good luck to you bud, and if you ever want to corp again i'll gladly team up with you.

Since when do we get to choose who we play against? Or who else is on a game? Maybe next we can choose who we think we an win against and not allow anyone else. Where would it end? If people won't play if they don't like this or that, then that is their choice, not to play. Let them move on and play elsewhere. Ceo? That really doens't have all that much distiction in a game does it? It's a team effort and it's about having fun.

Amen To That!

I've known Bud since about the time I was learning the game and he was gameop in a couple games on the server I was playing while the Wolf Pack was thriving and it was their homebase. Several players here have also played in games he later hosted on his own server and we HAD FUN in both places. Yes...he has playing skills and even a bit of trash talk...he has been though hard times and good times and is a good corpie to play with OR against! Nice to see you back Bud!
