Would it not be a great idea to also display the actual players of each Corporation, regardless if they alter their handles within the tournament itself? It is kind pointless to go up against a Corp. calling themselves 1-6, meanwhile having no idea who they actually are… or more importantly playing on a corporation with other players and not knowing how they also actually are or to put it another way to know who you are corping with.

Maybe exactly which handle belongs to which player on that corporation, so long as the actual players of the corporation are identified in some manner pre-game.

You need to play more.

Naw, privacy, WTF! Were not talking taps here, not talking about SSN numbers, nor boxers or briefs, nor sexual preferences, or your quite extensive JAR. Personally for me I would feel pretty weak getting my Butt stomped by the number “One”. We be talking about who is playing on what Corporation, nothing should be private bout' that there issue.

It would be all like: “this Butt kicking brought to you by the number One and Sesame Street!” and stuff. That is just totally weak.

Who really cares? You will more then likey figure it out if you are a constant player as you will figure by their actions or their script use or their fed talk as to who they are or have a good idea, I have figured out who they are many times in games when they used a alias just by the way they play or podded me laff

Yea, you can easily distinguish most players by the way they pod jester...

Treat every player as if they were the best player in TradeWars and you will be a lot better off. I have played under other aliases and people play as if I am a newbie, close but not really a newbie, and they ended up having to wax their pod for a while so it would stay shiny. Even if I was a newbie, they might have still been podded due to being careless.

Being podded by someone who is an "Elite" is easier to take for some than if some newbie blasts their butts. I figure it is all one and the same - in a pod, trying to figure out which key to hit for saveme..........

To me I have always been curious when going up against a team that is using alias's. But one thing I didn't do was treat them as newbs. I always go into a game thinking everyone is supperior to me. (although most people are anyways) Plus the names always leak out. And in the end you can gurantee that the winners will always display their names.
