I've more or less had it up to my Butt with having seen the "General Discussion" area moderated, and locked topics here. I could go on until hell freezes - I'll post this asap before the zealous moderator zaps.

Laff. In all fairness it HAD gone well over it's "sell by" date. You could just copy the thread to the smack talk forum if ya want to continue to drama.

And of course the 1st amendment doesn't extend to privately controlled areas like this.

Well personally I was wondering why it took so long to lock the that thread. If you want to smack talk goto Vulcans forum.

Also omg I can not believe I actually going to agree with sing but their is no 1st amendment in any private forums.

If this be a private Forum (which it might well be), it would be proper (not mandatory) for the moderators to declare their colors.

This entire site is a private forum, 1st Amendment rights don't
apply here.

These are the EIS forums. They are here to be a help to they TW community. They aren't here for people to indulge their desires for flame wars. If this isn't what you are looking for in a forum, this isn't the place for you.

that thread was doing nothing to better the community, it was a bit entertaining at first, but as usual, you can only take Rexx in small doses.. it was getting old and not accomplishing anything

im very confused..The above says the forum isnt here to indulge flames and flame type postings and yet Below it says differently,,Why is this different? And if it is different why hasnt this been changed?

This is just a general reminder for use of this forum area

EIS is not responsible for any content posted here in the Smack Talk forum or any other provided here at the Official Trade Wars 2002 Support Forums, unless specifically posted by an EIS representative. EIS feels that it must do everything in its power to keep all of our forum members happy and safe from harassment.

The Smack Talk area is designed to be a place where those people that like to participate in "flame" types of conversation can and is meant to be "unmoderated". The idea is that if these people have a place to post these aggressive types of posts, then the other areas of the forum would remain free of these types of posts. If you are not one of the members that enjoys reading and posting "flames" then it is a good idea not to enter this area. While the rules for the Smack Talk area are "relaxed" to a great degree this does not mean that the area is free from the rules set for the use of the entire Trade Wars 2002 supports forums. The area has the same word filters that all the other forums have on them. And follow the same rules everyone that has made a post in any area of the forum has agreed to. I point to the specific area of the agreement "In your use of these forums, you agree that you will not post any information which is vulgar, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws". Let everyone be warned now that failure to follow this rule, regardless of the area in which it is posted, may result in loss of forum privileges. That being stated, please know that it is not our intention to become the "Gestapo" the Smack Talk area shall remain as it is intended to be a place to make aggressive posts about other players and servers. What that means if you want to berate or defend a player, sysop, gameop or even EIS feel free to enter the Smack Talk area and do so in as aggressive a manner as is allowable by the agreement. Racial Slurs, Physical Threats and Gay Bashing will not be tolerated by anyone. If you feel that you must engage in this type of activity, there are plenty of hate sites on the Internet were you can find people of like mind to belittle anyone who may be different then you are. Just go to your favorite search engine and type in HATEFUL IDIOTS, I am sure you will find plenty of places to waste your time.

Actually that was Kav that was causing an issue, I was simply pointing out that people make typo's and such occurs all the time, so really what is the point in attempting to bring it up as if it is really some type of valid argument or a testament that another person or persons are really just unintelligent, (especially, somebody that is currently recovering from surgery.)

This is actually a lame argument, pertaining to this thread; to bring an issue of personal freedoms up and then turn around complain about another’s usage of words, referring to Kav posting about “break” vs. ”brake”. Me, I was making a simple joke about based on what Kav wrote, it appears that my original was not actually read thoroughly enough or there are again a few that just want to start a new flame towards me.

To that I say whatever, with the few of you persons I have had recent dealings with, go ahead and bring your personal issues into yet another thread that again has nothing whatsoever to actually do with you on any personal level and make it personal between me and you, (I am only including this issue as others have begun to harrass me in this thread.)

Surely you can only mean to be simplistic and hypocritical in your nature. No, no, I shalt not bite on this persistent foolery of yours. Thus, I’ll leave my discussion regarding this at that, as anything more of an explanation is just completely wasted (meaning: it is very unlikely you will be at the capacity to fully understand my reference.) and it is in your favor anyways, (meaning: that whatever I say or do not say is delcaired wrong, by the majority (consisting of your own long-time friends), period.)

BTW, the “pervious” that should have been “previous”, but I guess I somehow unconsciously warped “pervert” and “previous” into well, “pervious”, while I was skipping the “come” reference and typing my side-note about it. At any rate it was simply to be as a pun joke, a funny take on homonym’s, nothing less and nothing more. If anybody wishes to make a bigger issue out of it, once again I am not going to help you there, nor will I try to. Kind of a kiwinkidink it came out that way, though. Heh. [:D]

I think it means that the flames and such are for the smack talk threads and not for the general Trade Wars Open Discussions threads. But I am not sure the smack talk threads are active in EIS anymore.
