Jeeze folks, the awards are just TW's answer to American Idol. A popularity contest, having nothing (at all) to do with fact. There is nothing sacred about the voting or nomination process, the noms were passed thru Ender, compiled and then hosted by Vulcan (who was gracious enough to host them when nobody else would). Numerous times people got filtered because of bulk vote spam... UTW just happened to make it thru the cracks. Still, show some freaking gratitude.

UTW is a popular server, deal with it. Not because of the EIS crowd (altho I lot of you whiney-butts that love to complain about UTW also play there), but because of their truce games... which, like it or not, appeals to the less violent players. Would any of them hold a candle to a real competition? Of course not... but then again they aren't interested in a real competition either. They love to colonize and it shows. UTW hosting USO... laff. Clueless newbs.

Vulcan hosted the dang thing when nobody else would. It's his right, like it or not, to pull a nomination. If you don't like it then either host it next year or create your own awards. Then you can stack the deck all you want... no, nobody will take you seriously, but atleast your head will grow a hatsize and you'll feel all warm and fuzzy.

Gotta love the drama.

“Sage, half the players on your server are the very same players that have "challeged" your players. They just play here under assumed names, and most of the players here won't claim to be players from your server. Sad, but true, and kind of funny.

There are tons of players better than me, but I'm always willing to do my best. Count me in, but know that I know, these guys are flat out better players than myself in that they simply have better scripts.

I would challenge the likes of Stockton, Hollywood and some others to admit that they play here on a regular basis, suck it up, and accept the challenge.

But frankly, F*CK the "good ole boy' network that exists in Trade Wars. It's a game for God's sake. I enjoy playing on your server, appreciate the work you guys do, and could care less that there are better players out there.

To change the rules after the fact is absurd.

The category to vote on was "best tournament."

You won, and congrats on that.

If the "Good Ole Boy" network wants to change the parmeters of the category after the fact, again, f*ck em.

I have the utmost respect for Vulcan, but changing the parameters of the category AFTER the voting has been done is flat out wrong.

Give Ultimate its fair due this year, and change the category next year to be sure the "right" server wins.

Fair is fair, Ultimate won whether anyone else likes it or not.”

If, by chance, someone WERE to nominate YOU for Best Looking, and the nomination was accepted by the "powers" that run the "voting" and then you ended up in a virtual tie in the voting, and that, too, was accepted by the Big Boys and they even setup ANOTHER round of voting for the Best Looking category, and then you WON the final vote only to have someone say, hey, he's not even Good Looking enough to be considered and yanked your umm, well deserved crown from you and gave it to someone else, well, its just not right or ethical.

Both nominations and voting are SUBJECTIVE, end of story.”

Honestly, letting the TW awards die with the "elites" who began them should have been the course of action. They were always a rigged system, and this has always been my personal opinion.

Just this year something new came about, perhaps a new breed of the game(or the intense popularity of an old one). It's time to let the TW awards die, as they should have.

BTW, you can’t really compare a political voting campaign to this type of a voting process. The two have absolutely nothing in common with one another and would be like trying to apply the laws of Earth’s physics to space travel, it just does not work and would most likely result in a destroyed spaceshuttle. If you really look at the electoral process for politicians you will see a pattern that favors those whom are able to get message the most, i.e. those with the least about of funding support are extremely likely to not make it onto the final ballot, as the majority of voters have not heard of them or have heard very little of them and the majority of voters are not check into all applicants on their own, so even though they may be more eligible then another candidate they sadly loose out, as this frequently happens to occur throughout our nation. So when a server (UTW) floods the crap out of all of their players emails with “Vote for Ultimate TW, hurry, hurry, hurry, lets get a WIN for UTW!” and “While your at it also vote for Player X, because they are apart of our player base!” it causes a major problem in two aspects:

------1. They are the only server or person doing this type of illicit act; as under these conditions it is something you would only except from a fascist Regime ran under the dictatorship of Sage meanwhile being supported by Owen.
------2. It brings distain and resentment to the rest of the community; as UTW holds most of the new player base as they are not yet to the playing level of the more advanced games found on many of the other servers, and being as new players are not familiar with what else is out there so they submit to the urge of vesting down into their newly found lil’ safe haven of an oppressed server and abide by as they are instructed by their usurping administration.

So if that is the type of cause you really want to “stand up for”, I hear al Qaeda is hiring on, they said they are always in need of a good suicide bomber. You sound like the perfect candidate, being dedicated for a pointless cause that has been spun beyond recognition by another higher in the food chain then you, yet you still defend and fight for that other persons own selfish purposes to self-proclaim and prosper themselves... you’re more dedicated person then I, however misguided.

BTW, has Sage been by chance personally grooming you for this cause? j/k
