That is about sad. It asks people to vote simply because someone plays on a certain server. Kind of like voting a straight party ticket - don't worry about what the person stands for (or plays like in this case) - just vote for them anyway. Same thing for the server on voting for it - disregard the fact that another server might deserve the vote more......

No disrepect to you Misbehavin as I know you cannot control what others do, and I wish you luck if you deserve to win the category you are in.

[Edit] I seem to remember Sage not having a very high opinion of the awards. Looks like one of the other "admins" might feel differently. [/Edit]

You know initially I was skeptical that it only took 30-seconds to vote, but after checking out their main page, which pretty much had the entire voting breakdown written out for me, they really put my worries at ease. Thanks Ultimate TW, you are the best!

I did not even vote in that category first time around, never having played in any of the "offered games".

You can bet the Farm that I voted for your Corp Wars last night. Two can play the Machine Vote game.

It's really too bad. Misbehavin is a good player. Deserves her votes.

Sorry to multiple post so soon. But I have to say this, I just hope all will vote for what is right and not a server thing, like what is implied by the Email posted above, thanks Kav for bringing this to our attention. I agree on MisB deserving her votes but to get people to vote for just their server and not for what is right, that is low. Can you say Trolling for votes?????

Maybe we should divide the Awards to two different ones, one for UT and one for the rest of the community. Hmmmm.......

The sad thing to me is that Ultimate could be a good server. I am currently in one game there and have had no problems, nor did I have any in the previous game except for lag but that is the Internet too.
The server provides games that a lot of newer players need in the form of truces (yes, I dislike truces). The only bad thing is that when they get used to truces, the players tend to be a tad bit upset when they play in a non-truce game.

I have been a very strong critic of Ultimate for a long time, but they (the "admins") seem to be handling games better. The truces cause problems on most servers, and it is something they ("admins") have decided to try and work with - that should be to their credit.

Now with that said..... Mass mailing "vote for the party" messages just detracts from their credibility (k, I know the reply to "their credibility").

I don't really see a big deal here guys...Back in the day during the first and second tw awards PLENTY of people trolled for votes from /users/friends/corp members. The TW awards has ALWAYS been a popularity contest and to be truthful Ultimate TW is pretty Darn popular with many AND its user base is growing on a DAILY basis.I'm a little disappointed they are in the "Tournament" catagory..cuz well..they havent hosted a tourny yet..to my knowledge anyways. The Board has started to host non truce games and TURNS games...So Keep up the Good Work Ultimate TW.

I myself play at UTW now and then. Have never really had any issues there. I originally started playing there due to the rumors about the server. How the Sysops cheat and favor certain players perhaps even using T-Edit. I have never seen that myself.

As far as the truces... yes there are too many of them there that is why ppl are always complaining about other players breaking them. BUT they are adding games now with NO truces to accomodate player preferences. Truces can and are broken on other servers as well not just at Ultimate.

I will not name any names here... But there are ALOT of YOU ppl that play there as well.

As far as all the "promoting" they gave me, I NEVER asked for it. Actually just saw it yesterday in their forum.

However, I am very confused on the issue of any tournaments they have held there. To my knowledge there hasn't been any.
