Ok, the Yahoos over at Yahoo! Messenger say that 30 can fit in a conference room. Heck anymor than that would be unmanagable...
OK waiting for better ideas, I'm gonna start a poll this afternoon....

if you go the yahoo route, you'll wanna make sure NO ONE except for the trainer has a mic, even 5 people having mics will get annoying

Nice point Loc.
I'm off to the beach through next weekend, so it'll likely be the following weekend, Jun 2-4. Still up in the air at the moment.
So Sil, why aren't you playing anymore, exactly? Was "No more Tradewars" a requirement to get back with the ex? or what?

Nope, no such requirement. Just got bored of it.
Really I've been turned off this game since that one CtB game about 10 months ago(pretty sure you know the one), it just took me like 6 months to stop playing.

Okay I am in as well, when we get a date on when it starts, and where and how. then we can get it on the road, also I was thinking of we could use a teamspeak server and client setup, and set the settings for the teacher to speak and the students type going to the room and teacher, I have to look into the teamspeak thing, some of us were using it a while back then we kinda lost interest in it. Cause of a lack of participation.
When we get things on the grid, let me know when, where, and what time, if my time permits I will attend, if not keep records of the sessions, and send them to the ones who missed the lesson. Only for the ones who want to learn.

Ok things are looking good, though next weekend is a holiday weekend and will be difficult. The following weekend looks more promising. I'm still waiting for someone else to pipe up w/ new ideas.
Vulcan- the teamspeak thing is interesting. Is it as easy to get as Yahoo! and just as free? Also, though we want to hear the teachin' we really don't want everyone on voice.
Another thing is I can't figure out how to poll here on EIS Online so we may have to link to the Forge for a poll to gauge interest.
A quick blerb w/ our plan to conference on scripting then are you interested A)Friday nite B)Sat day C)Sat nite D)Sun nite E)Sounds great but I can't make it.
Am I missing something? +EP+ says he has a rough lesson from all the questions he gets asked.
I'm for keeping this thing as easy as possible, and hopefully recording the session to post for peeps that can't make it.

I will try and be there. I am having advanced problems with a wsst function, but basics are cool too. Maybe I will get the answer.
Darn fake busts.

You can get a free client of TeamSpeak on my main site in the downloads page I will have to try to get the server program up and running too for it to work, and can set it for only who I need to have access to speak, but am not too sure on the typing part, I will have to load the server up and test things to really know what it will do exactly. If it goes well then we have a way to get lessons, and someone to speak when it is their time to teach. If not then we will have to look into getting a chat room or something and using the TeamSpeak for the listening of the lesson.
Also you may put polls up on my site and a link to it here if you want, no problem there.

I'm positive Teamspeak has txt chat along with voice. If I remember correctly, no need to even set a server, as there were several empty, free servers out there. Just gotta login and find the corrct address.
However, I have a teamspeak server already set, just not online. Used to use it for old UCMP games.
I agree that the trainer should be the only one voice. In teamspeak, anymore then 2 people talking and it can turn into chaos quick. =P

Just a quick bump. I have been checkin' out teamspeak. ( http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=faq) I don't think it would prove too difficult to set up, but it does say it has an upper limit of 5-10 people. Bet we scare up more than that.
I also think a chatroom may be ok, if someone knows more about it than me:)
Me and the corpies use Yahoo voice all the time, has voice and text, and will be 'invitation only' so no spammers like in the chat rooms..

I think the upper limit is changable, I have a TS server on the main server on my site too. but shut it down for a while. wouldn't take much to bring it up online and check things out to make sure.Shingen you might want to look at it too and verify. thanks.
