I decided to try it out and feel like an Butt for not doing it sooner, just wanted to say see ya' IE, wouldn’t wanna be ya! Although, just because I am an honorable person I decided I would display a little memento that truly shows my full and complete affection and admiration toward IE, Microshaftsme this ones for you!

Well, I found a new love her name is FireFox and she likes to wear Noia out to dinner parties. Seriously, though anybody else that is not using FireFox should really at least mess around with it for a little bit, it is very well rounded, it is slightly slower on loading then IE, probably mainly impart to the eye-candied graphics involved. Also, you have to try out the AccuWeather plugin, that is super-sweet; along with the Quick-search engines! [^]

I use Maxthon myself, and like it way better than IE, it has the elements I like from IE ( like being able to view sites that have sound, with no problems, and a couple of other things) and Firefox ( better security, tabbed web browsing, and a host of other things) and a whole host of its own things in the mix.

Fire Fox is good and same with Maxthon, but if you havn't tried IE7 beta, then wait for it to comeout about the same time as Windows Vista this fall, The performance blows them both away, also has the cool tabs just like the others so no need for more then 1 window open. I did a lot of testing on IE7 for developing purposes and found that this version far exeeds any other browser out there.

I just started testing it out as of yesterday, and so far it is like my maxthon and not too bad, but when you close out things at times it gives an error, and also if you use the IE7 beta and use SWATH you need to get with Stein and get the work around fix for SWATH cause the IE7 interferes with the connection to the authentication servers. Other than that issue, I like the IE7 so far.

In case you haven't kept up, Vista has been pushed back to first quarter next year but probably won't be made to the public til 2nd quarter.
They are still planning on getting it to system distributers before Christmas. I agree though firefox is the best browser i have found so far. Netscape 8.1 works good too. Tried Ie7 beta and it is still terrible like all the other IE's

I tried Netscape awhile back and didn't really like it. Why does the new Windows keep getting pushed back?

Because they can, and because it is Windows, that alone should say it all.

Also I would like to say, I still like my maxthon better as a browser, the new IE7 is nice and they made a nice and pretty interface, My Maxthon has a nice interface, and I like that it puts the new page from a link into a tab without hitting the Crtl key.[:P]
Also I think it still has a better security than IE, Fire Fox and Netscape 8.1 are nice too. Don't get me wrong, I have them both. And they are great. But on some sites with sound they lose some things especially when you go to the sites, Cause in some cases the music or sounds are the theme of the sites. I am still working on my main site to make it even more Mozilla based browser friendly. It may take a while tho. But I will get it as close to 100% freindly as possible.

Also like Animal said I like Netscape 8.1 it can emulate the IE browser set and let you hear the sounds too, I forgot to add that, So it is a close choice for my Maxthon and Netscape 8.1.

I have been messing around with FireFox and found that it has an IE tab extension (has to be downloaded and installed) that permits you to setup specific URL's to embed as IE. It is fairly easy to use as well, (there is a FireFox logo at the bottom right you place you mouse over a left click switches the loading engines from FireFox to IE and visa versa, right click you can permanently set the displayed site to the IE engine.) Also you can setup the to use the Tabs inside of it, pretty much however you prefer (can even give a warning if you attempt to close it down when more then one tab is open), and it has a cool FasterFox extension that is suppose to use idling and caching to load pages quicker and even monitors the time to load for you to see. I checked out a few sites I knew had sound and so far have had no problems. They put a lot of though into the user-friendliness of the entire program, from the settings to the actual operations of it.

Cool Rexx i may have to update my Firefox and install the IE extension then. The Netscape 8.1 came with it already installed. It is awsome as well, you might want to check it out too. Sometimes it pays to have more than one browsing option, as for Opera, I haven't really liked its interface, but that may be different on the later release, I put that out for the ones that use Opera.

No prob, I was really impressed with it; hey be sure to try out the Noia theme, I think that is by far the best one. I tried a new trick with the Hyperlinks last night just to see if it would work, I didn't think it would but it did, so I was suprized, anyways now you can just click on my FireFox image and it will take you to the FireFox v1.5 website to download it, (you can imbed imagees within the Hyperlink as the Hyperlinks text, freakin' outstanding!) Also, I spent over 4-hours cleaning up my Windows last night, that was a total pain, I think it is going take awhile for me to recover, but I have been given a good prognosis by trained medical staff; so at least some good news. j/k I had originally only planned to spend 2-hours, but Windows managed to successfully impose it’s warp-time continuum on me. I also found out what this Google extension I installed does, at first I didn't notice it doing anything as I thought it worked like the MSN viewer does, but it was not doing it so I thought it was just not working, but then I found out by accident. When in Google if you pause your mouse over a link it will load the actual webpage in about a quarter sized window to let you view it, then when you move you mouse it goes away; it cool but takes a few seconds to load each one up... my computer is crap though anyways so maybe it's just me.
