ANSI graphics could, probably, be sent to an external twx proxy window. Thought about that a while ago, but then gave it up. Not sure of the details... would be a worthwhile thing to do.

Using ANSI is a really good idea for the added graphics and colors, although you would not be able to place it into a seperate window as currently only non-colored ASCII can be displayed via TWX through windows.
As the sectors would be different in every scenario, the mapping would have to be created on-the-fly by compiling the data and then echoing it within the terminal program, (if you wanted color.) You could still do graphics as little boxes with the sector number centered within them and such in a popup window, although it would only be able to use only your windows default text color, (various ASCII could be used to ID mines, limpets, figs, NavHaz, planets, ships, explored, unexplored, etc.) bascially the same as in SWATH.
The only obstacle the graphics would be lining the sectors up correctly and differentiating between one-ways, two-ways, and black-holes. As well, there would be an issue with permitting ready access to view the quantity and ownership of the objects within the sectors.

I just had an appiphany (I can't spell, tired, and working, go away) why don't you just convert it into HTML pre determined graphics (a sector with a port, or not, and style of port, blah blah blah) and we can use our webbrowsers to explore the universe? viola... and ansi or ascii graphics, just me... but that's oldschool and we have moved past that in most of our scripting technics (not mine, haven't made a Darn script since elder prophet showed up and showed me up, HAHA)

Are you lads referring to the amount of lines shown in the active zoc window? If so then you must have your font size awful small.
Looks like i get about 60 lines, although I have my scrollback set to as much as i could get. Beats the hell out of having to open logs to check recent history.

Zoso,
Click on the link i put up there. 98 lines, active window, and a massive scrollback buffer. Font isn't that small, but I got a nice monitor.

I personally think traitor's font is too small. I have a 19" montior on 1280x1024, that's part of the reason I can fit so much there.

As most of you know I try to make an attempt to be a scripter.
I usually script in Swath.
Due to problems with cable I was offline and I had to use zoc because you cant use Swath offline without getting something from Swath help.
So while I an scripting in zoc, I start to notice the little things I miss about swath
But to make a long story short (too late) Do you other scripters have trouble switching too or is it just me?
That telnet window bites heh.
Thanks for input guys.
Swath is for swatting flies. Zoc is for braindead's, apart from those who can write rexx.

The 1 thing that gets me and I hear it from a lot of people.
When you warp in swath it autosends a "n" or "y" when appropriate.
So when I script in swath, it don't always work in zoc if there is a warp.
And if I do it in zoc, it messes up in Swath.
There has to be a medium because everyone will not turn off the option and I dont know of a way for the script to do it.
It is hell again. Why did I try to act like a scripter?[:(!][;)]

turn the auto junk off in swath. no helper mode. just leave data parsing on. and go into all the settings and tell it not to do that. it has the options to make it work how you want now.
