Heya guys...so I ended up using Attac, since it's all pretty and I like the status bar on the side. :) I've played with TW proxy, but I don't think I'm going to use it quite yet.

My only problem so far is that for some reason, when I input a command, nothing shows in the TW screen until I hit enter, and then it seems to add in an extra enter at the end. Any ideas on how I could fix this?

To clarify - if I turn local echo on, I can see my own input, but it will not input the command until I hit return - at which point it will enter my command, and add an extra "return" on the next menu. Which has caused me to be robbed at the starport more than once already. :(

If I string commands together, it seems to accept them in a row. For example, for me to safely get to the shipyard in the stardock, I have to go to the stardock sector, then on a single command line type "pss" and hit enter...which goes Port->Stardock->Shipyards and then once again adds in the extra blank return.

Very odd.

If I turn off local echo, I can't see what i'm typing at all...and it still adds in the extra return, and requires me to hit return. :)

Gah, figured it out. There was a "Line editor" option enabled. Turned it off, works fine

LMAO, ATTAC is tricky like that, I use it too as well as SWATH, and use TWX Proxy with them too, also have ZOC I try to have a round setup to use what which helper does the best at. It works so far. If you have any major probs let me know or earth, the creator, he knows it inside out. I have done some beta testing for him and like how the new attac is. And I don't have to worry about it having to authenticate.[:D]

ATTAC lets you configure any of the telnet options. Some of the Doors games required it. Also, check that your sector size is set correctly. if you set it to 20k for a 5k game, it might not send the enter key correctly while scripting.
earth.

Also on a side note if you haven't got it from earth yet, if you have the newer version of ATTAC, and using the TWXSync Server, make sure the the universe is set right for the game, and make sure you don't use that log on setting to play anyother games in as it will corrupt the data on the Sync Server. earth, did I get that right?

Anyway the point is this, make sure of your settings and logon settings so as not to have any problems. ATTAC is a good helper and does a great job on what you set it out to do.
