Hallelujah! No more phantom Class 7 ports, I hope. My existing databases remain hosed, but as long as new databases don't GET hosed anymore, I'm happy. [:)]
I was almost ready to start learning the Swath database format to write my own utility to zero all class 7 port data as a database fixer. [:P] I could always re-CIM after that and only lose data on Class 7's with enemy figs on them.

Bring back the 1.6.1 option of being able to assign the recorded macro to a key instead of copy and paste

Ok am beta testing 1.8 now so far looks decent.
I have a question that has plagued me for quite a while I sometime have to restart swath and want to know when connecting to TWXProxy what does swath send to server. I have on many occasions unknowlingly changed or added a ship password. Looking through the scrollback it (I am pretty sure it is swath) changes it to something like NNECT .... which is I think a reply from the server. I have unsuccessfully tried reseting passwd several times using cut 'n' paste as I have no steenking idea what the password was changed to. I didn't change/set the password and like I said before am 95% sure that swath sent it. This has happened since 1.6 this is the earliest version I have ran so don't know if this problem existed earlier but I know I am not the only one that has been affected by this.
Would the powers that be please release the characters that swath sends through twx to the server so we don't have to sell our ship everytime we restart swath and are still connected to server?

You can do this using triggers. Just create the macro first and add it to the Macro list. Then go to the Trigger list and create a new trigger where the event is a key or button and the action is the macro.

It sounds like you have entered a proxy server for the Internet connection settings in the Networks tab. This is only ment to be used if you are connecting via a web proxy to the Internet.
The telnet proxy setting is the one where you should enter the TWX Proxy settings. It is in the General tab in Game Options.
For the Internet connection, try direct connection since that is default.

Ok , I know what he is experiancing , its a message that is sent because he had connected with TWX first then when Swath connected to TWX (that had already been online) it sends the initialization sequence from Swath (changing ship password) .. if your aware of it
then backspace it out.
btw I dont think you can sell a ship if you don't know password.
The password was set to : NNECT LOCA
hope this helps.

I will not do Cartwheels (like i can at my age) till the Map feature
is working right. dead ends that are not deadends, missing lines
between sectors, and the nasty, as corpie planet trades, i ride
along to collect sector, the map shows that the planet was there
but does not clear it after a rescan, so i have a map full of ghost
planets,ARRRGGGG!

Swath 1.8 seems to have a problem counting the number of hops between a planet and terra when trying to colonize, does not pick up enough fuel ore for round trip, running two course plots and manually inputing data helps this but I did not have to do this in Swath 1.7.1. This is occurring in a game where I had been t-warp colonizing already. Anybody else notice this?

That just reminded me of a problem I had a while back, were you in a 1-TPM ship? What your describing happended to me while in a 1-TPM ship I was not sure if it was SWATH or TWX that was causing the prob and I could not properly account for it so I just started running in a higher TPM ship and my fuel allowed me to make round trips once again, so I just kinda forgot about it... well until now. I dont think it was something I was doing wrong, cause I tripled checked the numbers and they came back consistant each time.

Gray Lensman, it sounds to me like it might be insufficient warp data. Try running a new ZTM and see if things clear up. Might also want to create a new game in Swath before doing the ZTM.
On a side note, ZTM scripts that are run from TWX don't always update Swath for some reason, so if you use TWX for ZTMs, export/import the .twx file to Swath.

VidKid hit the nail on the head but backspacing through the password is impossible as I am past that point sometimes it hangs at that prompt and therefore is no problem other times it also sends an enter so you have confirmed changing of password.
