Got a few new scripts I've written and would like to test them
out. Setup a local server, but unless I reg... well, you know
the rest. Before I consider that option I was wondering if
anyone had one open already?

Thats why I got a reg. just so i could setup a test game. Ask Ahab or Vulcan, Thay are Real Friendly Sysops! (not to say others are not)
I could try and set up a game, Have a new Router/firewall
and have not tryed to port thru it yet with TWGS.

But back on the subject, I used to use Terra's server, but it is down I think Permant. But Hekate always had 3 test games on it, was great cause u were allowed to dupe so u didn't have to test ur stuff out on anyone but ur self, Which is better cause then u can look at both sides of the script.

Do I need to reg TWGS or just Tradewars?

Setting up a router/firewall usually involves opening the port and
then setting port forwarding. I had to do that for my NAT a few
times. It's not hard, just requires testing.

If its down just email there support and they will probably get it up for you. At least that’s what they have done for me in the past.

I've emailed Stein about 3 times trying to get that one up again. Each time he emails a reply with a CC to Mac but nothing happens. So that one is a lost cause I'm afraid.

What? You can't write a scipt in 3 min? [:D]. Actually, when I was in the same delima I tried to get on the SWATH server but since it is down, probably until Phoe6e reopens Terra (the TW version of "when hell freezes over"), I had to reg my own. The best for scripting I think is to get the pack that has both MBBS and Gold for 4 nodes. That will be $60. My service was next-day which was better than SWATH's two day wait for the reg code to be emailed.

That's what I ended up doing. TWGS Lite + Tw Gold/MBBS.

Like Zilla said, if you need a server to test on, just let me know and I will set up a game for you or let you test on Pod Paranoia, that was my Dupe corp game and it may be what you want, but let me know if you are wanting any particular edits, and I will put them up for ya.
