I have to agree with alot of the last few post. While I have no idea of the quality of WABBIT's work, I would never use software (or play in a game with) him. I have worked with people like that in the programming industry, and strangely, nobody wants to work on their projects. They may be good programers, but their attitude and mouth ruins it.

The best feedback I can give:
1.) If you are not improving something (removing the connection message SupG talked about), than there is no reason to change software.
2.) If you are working with a scripting / data mining tool, such as TWX, your core test group should be all scripters. From what I have read, none of the prominent scripters have been involved in your testing.


Rule #1 of programming. Every change made to code will introduce a chance of an undesired feature.

As a fellow programmer I know what WABBIT is going through. I know how much hard time, energy, and even money is spent into doing something like this. After work, couped up at the computer for hours, fixing, refixing, testing, and yelling. I do the same thing alot of nights, on more irritating projects, but all the same, I think we can agree, programming is programming. You love it, but you learn to to love to hate it. WABBIT has done a good job on developing a few great tools for TWX, as a beta tester for the TWX Proxy Convertor, I believe his work to be of the highest caliaber, and I beilive him just as capable as anyone of developing TWX for the future.

I believe that all his hard work should be reconsitituted some how, while he cant take credit for the development of TWX (only the great Remco can do that) he cant take some credit, and have some commfort in knowing that he the strides he is making now, will one day present a much more diverse, and capable helper.

I want you all to know, WABBIT has a core group of supporters, those who see where he is going, where he has already went, and we support him on many issues. As far as income of off his work on TWX, I believe the ONLY one who can tell him that he is not allowed is Xide. If Remco tells him no, or it is stated in the GNU General Public License (GPL), then that is the only reason WABBIT should not be able to seek finicial credit for his developments to an already great project.

I just want you all to know, that I believe the TWX development projects should be centeralized, I would love it if EP and WABBIT started working togther on this project, the developments would come at a much faster pace, and it would be one bad Butt program.

P.S: You guys just give WABBIT some props for doing a great job on the development of the new TWX Proxy. As I give credit to him, I also give credit to EP for all his hard work, and cant wait to see his new version as well.

First of all, my hats off to anyone improving on TWX
2nd.. As was stated b4, there will be NO charge, if someone wants to charge, make their OWN helper, or give Xide the money, I don't care how much time they put into it, its all based on his work.
3rd there are some scripters testing this, some of the best are not... hmmm
4th what about us common users, do we even want to mess with it?
5th the auth server is still up, for how long.. no one knows, but the man paying for it
6th no offense Wabbit, I understand ur putting alot of time and effort into this, BUT sometimes ur posts do come off as degrading, I'm guessin u don't mean it that way, but it often comes out that way.
7th I'm a nobody, just a common player, so I guess my op. doesn't really matter.

I like what you say .. but seems everyone who claims to be a scripter wont help or is retired ..
So as far as scripters go .. I'm sure if you can script and do help ..you too would be mentioned .. but as far as I'm concerned

I'm pretty sure that the stuff I'm writing now will work with any post 2.03 version of TWX. Unless the developers go way out in left field. My only real concern is how the math ultimately gets handled.

I would ask ALL the developers to add a System Value for the version number. That way, script writers could do a quick check of versions, and the scripts would know if they would work under that version. With the CTS files, it's usually pretty obvious, but since everything I do is .ts, it matters.

edit: good lord I can't spell today.

I am getting my thoughts, and data together on this issue.
