About six months ago I started working on PerlTW, the first Linux-friendly Tradewars helper (Telnet only).

I wrote much of the helper and I think it combines my favorite features from existing helpers -- the quick hotkeys and easy script execution of a full helper and the flexible scripting and data mining features of TWX (and its ability to send mulitple keys at once).

Unfortunately, I have lost interest as I'm working on some other projects that have
taken precedence. I have a bunch of scripts written but I still need many more before this would be a fully usable helper. If you know Perl or are willing to learn Perl I could certainly use some help on this. Check out my website here: http://www.linux.kaybee.org:81/tabs/perltw/.

first off all, I know no programming, except old basic stuff, but a year or so ago I had a Blind guy on my TW team, no helpers would work with his platform, do to speech reconition, he did not use windows do to cost of such interactive needs, Would ur program possibly be the answer to his needs?
Please ICQ me and I'll try to get in touch with him, he was decent player, but his needs made him a little slow cause he had the computer read everything too him.

My first thought is... WOW!

My second thought is... Man, it would suck to get podded by a blind guy :)

Hereby it is manifest, that during the time men live without a common power to keep them all in awe, they are in that condition which is called war; and such a war, as is of every man, against every man. For WAR, consisteth not in battle only, or the act of fighting; but in a tract of time, wherein the will to contend by battle is sufficiently known.

HELLO! slide asked a serious question about building a Linux helper? A few years back McAhan and SWATH team were talking about releasing a Linux version of SWATH and that is yet forthcoming... So as another non-coder is there anyone who can help him develop a helper that will work without Mico$**t crap and also support Mac?
Be nice to connect direct to Unix software without going through the Windoze right?
