They are external scripts, download the j-twat.zip file and then unarch the jtwat.jar file.

ExploreShipScript.class and PairPortTrade.class are in the TWHelp directory. Maybe so intertwined with J-TWAT that they would need to be rewritten. But the script files themselves are external class files. If I knew enough about Java I could convert them to the SWATH Java standards. Just need a Java Decompiler to decompile the class file into Java source code.

Go here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/j-twat/

Click on files and download the j-twat.zip file and have at it if you know enough about Java to be dangerous. [:)]

"Good"
"Script"
"SWATH"

...all in the SAME sentence? heh...no wonder you can't find one...

Don't get me wrong, I use swath routinely, but not for the s....c....r....i....p....t....i....n....g

Get one for twx.

Hate to say it O B but you can neither look at or modify a class file...you need the original java file in order to edit or look at the script code.

Thanks Harley, I knew that a decompiler existed somewhere for Java. It would lack comments, and useful function names, but it would produce source code simular to the original.

I kinda thought they would be closely tied into the program due to the way all of the scripts work off of the same CIM download, but the method of downloading one instance of the CIM data and having the scripts kick off of the single database without having to do a bunch of cutting and pasting is nice.

The mapping feature is rather nice as well...still haven't played around with TWX much, but I've used SWATH's mapping feature and I have to say that J-Twat's is nicer. Wish he was still working on it. Heck, wish I had the time to sit and learn Java so I could work on it myself.

Its not worth the time, was talking to Bad Boy about it and he says it needs a complete rewrite to work properly, he said the original code came off of something that wasnt even designed for playing tradewars and was modified from there.

Hey rompca, now a couple of months ago Stein was talking about adding a probe script into SWATH. When he releases the next version it will have that script in it. As a matter of fact if you go under your scripts in SWATH you will see it is there he just has not activated and added it in yet. I know that does not help you now, but I use TWX for my prober.
