Press $ to activate the TWX menu. Then you can see the menu and type what you want.
Download and unarchive scripts and place them in:
C:\Program Files\twx\Scripts
Or where ever you installed TWX at.

ZOC/Rev Helper and TWX RULE
However, some experience a lame 'scroll' in ZOC, thats mainly do to not having TONS OF GRAPHIC MEMORY, and choosing one of the 4 settings for Scroll 'type' in ZOC.
I use 'frog' in my scroll settings and I have a decent video card, so zoc scroll is fast enough for me. I have never liked SWATH in a combat invironment, however for data managers and general blue work, swath is an excellent helper.
I like the way ZOC interacts with TWX, I can set buttons, auto replies, and Fkeys to custom triggers that can run Macros and Scripts twx or zoc... ZOC is very powerful. Add REV HELPER, and now you can have many new BUTTONS sets, creating a CUSTOM MENU just for your Style of Combat or Gridding.

Are there any helpers out there that are free. I don't have alot of money, trying to pay off bills so that I can buy a house. Any suggestions folks????

Get Zoc and TWXProxy
Then go to tavern.homeip.net and get his scripts (the free ones)
Then go to thereverend.coastgames.com and navigate through his scripts (take note of what you have for twxproxy)..
That will get you up to date with what the majority of the people have..
Note that you'll not have (probably) any agressive scripts but it is a good start..
Zoc will run for free.. just click cancle/whatever and it'll eventually time the error out.. But it will do you for now until you decide if you want to play the game

Ok...I couldn't get SWATH to connect, so I am checking out ZOC, I have ZOC/TWXProxy setup together and they seem to be working together. Question, will cherokee scripts work with ZOC, are they for TWXProxy? I'm not used to helpers so, I'm flying blind here....(pun intended)....so how do I tell which scripts do what? When I press $ to bring up the TWXP prompt, do I type in the name of the script??? Help is appreciated! I'm going to mess with a couple of basic games for awhile, so that I can learn/teach myself the NEW TW games...and how to use/interact with these helpers. Also I dl'ed the scripts from The Reverend, they are ZOC so I suppose I just put those into the script folder in ZOC right??? Thanks again for everyones help!

OK...assuming you saved the TWX scripts in the TWX script folder, you can double click on the TWX icon on the start bar don at the bottom...it'll bring u the scripts folder and you can select what you want from there. If you saved them elsewhere (why?) then do the same, but then find the folder you saved them in. I don't ever use the $ menu to load scripts...it's too slow for my taste. And yes, Cherokee scripts are for TWX. I have most every messenger...contact me there if you want.

ZOC scripts go in the ZOC\script directory
TWX scripts go in the TWX\scripts directory
To load a zoc script, click on the Script menu, and then Start REXX script... or just hit Alt +
TO load a TWX script, right click in the TWX tray icon and click Load Script, or hit the $ menu key, hit S to get to the Script menu, then S again to Start a script.
Once you know what you are doing, you can set up Zoc macro keys to load TWX scripts by sending TWX the text string $SS(scriptname)^M

Ck's scripts are TWXProxy only (be warned that I dont think everything has been tested/fixed for .56+ yet)
The Rev's are all for Zoc (same warning be made for the .56 thing)
I am only suggeting these optiosn cause they are free.. There is no real benefit of buying either of them until you decide that you want to stick it out in the game.

Sure, the doctors advice is always correct...
You should be able to use SWATH for an evaluation period, like 30 days or something. I honestly can not remember. support@swath.net for a specific answer or go to the message board at http://www.swath.net/cgi-bin/ubb/swath/ ... tion=intro

Well I'm going to stick it out in the game. I always loved TW2002 back in the BBS days, and when I ran my own BBS. I just realize that I have to learn it ALL over again! The game has changed and now I need to be able to use all these helper programs. I'm going to check out ALL of the different helpers and then decide on which one and/or one's that I want to purchase. Plus this will give me time to get slammed in a few games and learn from my mistakes. See you all in the cold of Space.

Well the J-twat is free, but as someone said, if you arent' a coder it isn't being supported. Which reminds me, I need to find the source code, and start learning JAVA since I am cheap. I refuse to spend anymore money on a computer game for myself. Which seems will become a problem.
Anyone got suggestion on getting the source code?

You should be able to download it from the web site, I suggest reading it to find out for sure.

Aye, looks like maybe I can in a CVS format. Course then I have to ask myself if I want to put this much time into learning compiler when I made sure I didnt' take a compiler in college.
Well might be more determined when it deals with something I am interested in though.

Visit the SourceForge link for the J-TWAT project:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/j-twat/
Click on the CVS link and read the instructions to download the source code.
Or click on this link:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/j-tw ... p?download
J-Twat.zip contains the class and jar files to compile the J-TWAT program. Learn Java first and then start tweaking it.
