Been wondering for a while wich helper is actually the best? I mean you have J-Twat, SWATH, ZOC, ATTAC, TWAR, TWX, and a new one coming out over at ship destroyed...but who has the best? Does one helper put is self infront of all the others? Most people like a combo of TWX and ZOC. Its effective, but what helper is the best?? I only ask becuase right now I am thinking of buying the pack 2 script reg. code for TWX. $30...no alot it seems...but for a 17 year old out of work...
Does anyone really think there is a reason to upgrade the helpers I already use?? My scripts work fine...but is the build script in TWX pack 2 worth it??
Some insight please...

I personally use Swath and TWX, Zoc is a relic from the win 3.1 days, still functional but I think it sucks. Swath gives you a killer macro interface and some pretty nice scripts but it runs a little slow by itself because of all the java error checking. TWX is a killer program and it works fine unregistered as long as you dont have a use for encrypted scripts. There are a lot of nice scripts being released by people that are encrypted so you cant copy their code or learn their secrets or how to get around their scripts. For these you need to be registered to use. There are some pretty nice pack 2 scripts as well since the new version of TWX. Its worth registering it but I would find something other that ZOC. J-Twat is free but its a buggy memory hog that crashes and locks up a lot. TWAR is a flat out P.O.S. and isnt worth the download time much less the reg cost. ATTAC I didnt care for when I checked it out a few years ago, altho I have to admit I havent looked at the last couple revisions so it may be better than I think. As far as the build script, I think I would stay away from it. Choose your home sector yourself and use mass colonise and mass upgrade, you will be happier and safer.
My other suggestion would be if you cant afford it get a job, my 17 year old makes $400 a week and has plenty of time to get into trouble.

Twx n Zoc seems to be the best at the moment, but when DROP comes out, it will kill most of everything else.

Daniel, Zoc with twx is the best combo right now. With Rev's scripts for zoc and some of the twx scripts coming out now, how can you lose.

My helper, even in its crappy 1/16th done condition was better than some of the other helpers going around. I dont think its going to be completed though, since I have moved onto making my own games now, which requires alot of work and leaves little time for other projects.

How do you find the time to lurk in the TW forums? And why are you interested enough to?

It doesn't take longer than 5 minutes to check, there's usually nothing going on anyways. I have played this game for a long time and interests me to see what is going on with it. I don't plan on staying away forever; just because I have taken a prolonged hiatus means I should be banned from reading them?
As Kemper politely pointed out my post was inappropriate and also accomplished nothing so I removed it.

I suggest you try out ATTAC v4.1.6
It is pretty good. Make sure to read the forum and the main page for notes on v4.1.6.
Expect a new version 4.1.7 sometime in september after i write a few new scripts for ATTAC.

ATTAC is good; however, it doesn't find all the paired ports for me so I have to write them down on paper. Yes I did make sure that there were no enemy fighters at the ports before I ran the CIM update, I destroyed them all and went back to verify they weren't there anymore. Maybe the next version will fix that?

I am sure it does it correctly. Send me the TWGS server and game and the info to tradewars@hotmail.com and i will check it out. Was one of the sectors a one-way warp?
