Alright guys, I know a should be posting this message at the Swath website and i will if i dont get a helpful response here. The only reason i'm posting here first is because quite frankly, responses seem to come back quicker from this forum than the Programmers sites..... Go figure. Well anyway here is my problem. I have my swath regged and it is ver 1.5.1. Everything seems to work EXCEPT for the in game happenings in the comm window at the bottom of the helper...

I am using swath through TWX Proxy and was wondering if this somehow had a bearing on why i am not getting "Real Time" message feeds through that window, and yes i do have Messages turned on just so that wont be a factor in getting this resolved. Any help by anyone is welcome, but Stein if you happen to read this, I'd more than happy to hear your take on this. Thanks in advance!

Posting it on the SWATH form would be best, as you mentioned and rarely have questions/problems I posted taken more than a day to get a good response...

But back to your question, I have not encountered this problem. Have you tried closing the comm window and usinf screen like normal? If so, what happened?[;)]

I always get the messages in the main game window. To clarify let me explain. I could be running a script and someone hits a toll fig, the message does display in the MAIN game window but, not in the Comm Panel window for some reason... But the reports that i do get are if some fighters actually attack my ship of i have the interdictor on someones ship then I'll see the <Comp> report, but never the <Ftrs> report. hope this is not too confusing. I run the game with the "TW General" tab depressed just for this purpose.

Some people use taht comm window much and love it. I do not if I can help it. Strange things seem to happen when I do, probably much like what you describe. In order for a msg to be displayed in the comm window, the info must be processed by the helper to get it there, so it is probably [lime green] (guessing here) [/lime green]a bit slower anyway.

Try this, close SWATH after you close the comm panel and restart it. Never open the thing. For some reason, it seems to get stuck between open and not open when msgs come in if it is closed after it has been open.

If this does not work for you, I am out of ideas. mail or post to SWATH support.

Hmmmmm. I'll try it and see what happens. I would really like this thing to work. Guess its time to take it too swath support. thanks for the suggestions Severian

I've never known the comm window to catch all the in-game messages. I don't know why. Perhaps Stein or Macahan do.

Thanks for the response Midnight, i'm totally puzzled too. I'd love this to work, it would really compliment my style of play. Guess i'll take it to Stein & Mac, an dhope to here from them this century, hehe[:D]
