Didn't realize that I had page open 5 times. The forum's web page is my starting page.

I'm still in the game but am waiting for something to happen to see if I will stay. I HOPE to play but dono. Lots been going down. We'll see what the next days will bring. I do know that I would very much like to be picked in the corp that Stockton will be in. That is definate. Ideally, with Stockton, Singularity and Jester. If I get that team we WILL win. Only thing definate right now though. Can't say I like having a new draft but.....

Nope was being serious, had no idea that was blackbeards flag. I can't say i'm up to speed on Pirate lore and history, not one of my areas I have had much interest in at the moment. HOWEVER, knowing that, it does make more sense that he would have that. Still, BB changing his avator more then even me, I gotta give him a little greif [:D]

When I first joined EIS, I went through about 10 avatars in the first few months, before settling on the Utchat (or sometimes Udjat or Wedjat). I chose the symbol for it's obvious modern reference to a certain unnamed, cabalistic serect organization, and how that ties into my perma/webiste name, and not for it's original meaning. I would have gone with one without the triangle had I wanted to go with the original meaning.

http://www.sacred-texts.com/egy/ema/index.htm (Chapter II) has more information on it's original interpertation. It even includes a nifty spell that involves you hitting yourself repeatedly in the ear with a wooden mallet. w00t! (Shades of Monty Python ringing in my head...heh)
