As many here know I have been working on a site for a little 9 month old girl that needs a liver transplant. I have just had a new theme for the site donated and I wanted to get everyones opinion.

Please let me know what you think and if you have time write a letter of support to the family on the site. (or if you have a few dollars to spare they can use some)..

Afew things that might help...

1: Put a tell-a-friend link on your page so others can pass it on.
2: Drop a press release to local organizations, fax services and places like http://www.prweb.com/

There is a link to "Recommend Us" and "Spread the Story"

Also I have contacted local news channels, radio stations, national Lions clubs and Elk clubs and I have yet heard a response..

Ahh. I didn't see it. Hmm. Didn't look very hard either, tho. Make the font bigger? Just thinking if it doesn't catch the lazy eye...

When sending press releases I find it helps to phrase things in 3rd person, making things seem "objective" but yet emotional, then sending things to submission fax numbers by hand. Also start with local "free" papers if you can, they usually need a good story and can help carry things along.

I will try to find larger print but I think I would have to edit MANY pages of php.. not to metion find all the places to edit. I'll post the question to the php forums.. but the larger text may only be for the stories.

many fax companies do not send out faxes and follow laws set in place by the FCC (I am one that was getting harrassed by faxs).. the papers I will try to contact.

Php, kk. Without knowing what you're using, specifically, I can't tell. But a search and replace tends to work quickly, or an include. I've done both in your situation.

About the fax company, I wouldn't suggest going with one. If you have a fax modem you can create a fax list. Newspapers almost all have a press release line, they are published freely and would not consider a release to be spam. Contact the editor or do a search online and you'll find their release submission numbers. I do a lot of corporate submissions and find it works pretty well.

If the large media approach doesn't fit your style, talk with some ezine owners. I know quite a few places where you can contact them easily. I don't think it's appropriate to post other links here in the forum so PM me and I'll send you a list of emails and marketers that might be willing to carry the story.
