Why go there the sysop cheats. how come you get disconnected and immediatley invaded. or better yet get hit with corbo for 12 mil battle points. nothing but cheating administraters at this board.
How come only my corp gets disconnected and when you get back on the game changes. this is a shameful server stay away.

i have also experienced tedit here.. beware.

Does anyone have any sort of proof to any of these accusations?
As for tedit on the server, I have only seen games where fedspace (1-10) is closed off so people can log before the game officially starts, and then when the game opens, the universe is back to normal.
I've played at the server for over a year now, under the management of U.N. Owen, and haven't seen any cheating by the sysops.

More importantly, why would they cheat when they're not players in the games?

laff, i *think* there have been posts like that before.
there are a few twgs that you just really should avoid at this is one of them, not because the sysops cheat (i dunno if they do or not) but because the games are all brutal edits, brutal settings, and the sysops make brutal rules. of course this is all point of view and opinion, but... thats what you get for not trusting heh

as for the corbo... um, 12m corbo? no.
that is physically impossible.

I am far from an elite class player so maybe someone can tell me how this happened on this server:

A corp of 4 blues come in and never move around - have the best ships from Stardock and then cap alien ships w/o it showing up in the daily logs, and when invaded have fully maxed planets - not just one but 2-3 sectors with max number of planets. This was in a game where we had the universe gridded.

Now before you say the 4 blues were elite class players, I podded 2 of them in a game the week before I played on untimateTW and was called a cheating sysOp. They did not understand how I could have a maxed ship in an unlimited game to take them out with when the game had been running for about 2 hours.

[edit] We asked these players to play us on a known server such as Vader's or River Rat's and they declined saying they would "rather play on this server". Wonder why?

Just saw that Robert Rappaport is the server owner. Back in the day (BBS days) this guy was a big time cheater. I know cause I grow up in Key West and play'd on the same local bbs's as him....

Now that some of the big dogs have steppped in, I doubt ill ever go there. Makes me wonder how this server has so many active players though. At Stardock i think the server activity is around 500 percent. And Prom, who are these three players, so i can be on the lookout and blow a whistle if i find them [}:)]

I wish I could remember their names, but that has been more than a few games ago. If I play against them again I might be able to remember them. The way they talked, they played that server only for the most part. I can understand why since they really didn't seem to know the game very well in regard to red cashing in an unlim.

The reason I think that server has so much activity is because of the 3 day truces. If it wasn't for the truces, most of them would die very quickly (at least the ones I met on there).

I cant say much of anything regarding this incident, because im getting it second hand, but ill say this on the subject. Sysops who cheat should be dragged out back and shot. It makes me wanna frickin gag, to think a sysop would abuse that power against a player that actually worked for his assets. ^tsktsk^

Its not that we dont want your opinion. Just dont get all puffed up and mad when guys that we know and trust tell us something that disagrees with your point of view. Respect and trust are earned here, not given.

i'd like to point out i agree, avoid the server like the plague.. but 12m corbo... heh, thats just silly

Sorry if perhaps I got off on the wrong foot with my replies, I'm willing to forgive and forget.

I was mostly asking for proof because of that 12 million corbomite damage hilarity, and it seems odd that just specific people would mysteriously be disconnected.

I know I said I didn't see any cheating, but that doesn't mean it wasn't happening. From what I understood from archived threads, Solon was responsible for the cheating that previously went on, and I assumed since he was gone things were on the up and up again. I am willing to admit that I am probably wrong, in light of the recent discussion.
