Smokey Slim is easy to play tradewars with, I have corped with him once and he didn't give me issues at all because why? I listened to what he said and further more I also know alittle bit more about the point of the game. Especially in a game like this bro, You have to treat turns as they are and not waste them or any cash on useless things like multiple ppt ships. And Stop posting so much to get your rank up! heh

then i believe gunslinger logs in, gets to dock, and smokey tells him to trade in for a spy and ppt.
i tell him not to.
he does it.
des fox hits my figs, i pop him and get all of his ppt cash.
i buy up figs, surround dock, and wait for something to move.
something moves, i kill it.
rexx logs in.
smokey tells him to trade in for a spy and ppt.
i say omfg.
rexx does it
rexx gets capped.
smokey then tells me to go walk rexx to the dock (even though i had already laid figs down, and it was safe)
smokey finally gets back to dock and see's i have it surrounded.
he says (i kid you not) something along the lines of:
"slim has the dock surrounded, we should get a red and ssm"
at this point i am searching for a gun to shoot myself, fortunately, someone else moved so i got to kill them.
at this point i decided, ok, i'm going to go play wow instead...
i have no problem playing with newbs.
i have a problem playing with newbs who do NOT listen.
if smokey had just run his turns ppting, by the time the next person logged in, we would have been able to send him red immediately.
by the time zoso got back, we would've prolly been on our 2nd red, possibly our third, and i would have probably been able to get a few more kills (preventing other corps from advancing)
i even logged in yesterday to see what was going on, and we had one red (dead) and another corpie dead, not to mention no creds, no figs, and like 2 ships.
(meanwhile i see traitor with -18k align)
fyi, that means game over for our corp.
feel free to continue to "try"
but you will never see a lvl4 planet.
you will probably never even sdt.
but you go ahead and give her a whirl.
seeing as how no one listens, i don't see why though, it's not like you are going to learn anything and become better players.
if you *LISTEN* then maybe it would be worthwhile to keep playing only so you could *LEARN*
but since that won't happen, continueing to play is a moot point.

im sorry if you think i am just walking away, but tough, i don't like wasting my time.

Yea, our corp has interesting challenges ahead of us sure, and I surely do look foward to coming back and challenging the rest of those finely skilled player's!

Darn this is the funniest and the sadest byoc game I have seen. Actually kind of glad I didn't put a corp together for this one. But I can say, I have never played with slim, but have seen him play in big games and he knows his ****. Should of listened to him, just my worthless 2 points.

Heh, and I was kicking myself thinking we had a slow start. Not a BAD start, just a slow one.

Slim, I had an incredible 1st SST run. Went from 3k to 5k exp in one run. I actually had to manually stop it and switch to SDT. Something like 350 turns! For those who know me, that's funnier than the stuff you were posting. [:D]

(And, I know I should have stopped once I had enough cash to bust up to 5k...but you know me and my little Red superstitions. Once you start cashing, you don't stop till you bust, or you can upgrade to next best cashing method. If I had stopped sooner, I fear I would have angered the bust fairy...)

Darn it! Is there not somebody that can channel Vader, through "the force"? If not what good is it anyways!!!! heh

Well Traitor your reputation with the bust fairy must have rubbed off to Gemini last night I have never seen a red bust that much in all my time furbing.

Bait,

This game is far from over. Yes, one corp is a bit ahead of the others. Yes, some corps have had some difficulties. Corp 4 could get back into this by picking up a good replacement, straightening out leadership issues, and a few strokes of good luck. Some of the other corps have had slow starts, but I wouldn't automatically hand the game over to the leaders right now.

Now, if only the server would go back up we could get the show on the road.

Looking forward to the next few days.
