How was I the annoyed one? It is a guarenteed fact you have written more words than I. Clearly I have gotten the better of you. =/
As for you getting pats on the back from the home crowd, that hardly makes you more than medium sized fish in a small pond. Live it up, you are officially internetfabulous.

Oh, I'd say you're pretty peeved Why else would you continue to put so much effort into mischaracterizing myself, my posts, and my supposed sub-culture of uber scripters?
Oh, and in case you couldn't tell, I didn't bring up my "pats on the back" to prove how well liked/respected/whatever I am as you seem to imply. I brought it up to (a) needle you and (b) let you know that you're very rapidly becoming a huge joke. You're much more internetfabulous than I am. I'm just the provocateur, you're the main attraction
Oh, and last time I checked, number of words written didn't have any correlation to annoyance levels or "getting the better" of someone. Did you stop to consider that I not only started this thread, but replied to more people than just yourself? Of course I've written more words. Sheesh. Idiot.
Still got the last word, so neener!

Ugh, SGO. Dude went off on me about a game I never even made. What a fricktard. Dude took himself so seriously and made games no one liked to play. But he spent 200 hours making ANSI's.......as if ANSI's make a game playable.

I'd be willing to bet he was an idiot. And an ego maniac. And a really crappy player.

Yes, I am a Newbie, having read this entire thread [xx(], I do have an opinion. I am a 47 year old Carpenter that had to retire and rely on the kindness of his step-son due to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
I could not play without Helpers and the Scripts that come with them although I do try to get into some old fashioned 250 turns games out of nostalgia (played late 80s'/early 90's) as my wrists can handle it. Point being there are plenty of both types of games to go around for everyone to enjoy.
I do have to say tho that retirement allowed me to discover this wonderful game again [:D]

So Mr. Gray Lensman. let me get this straight... are we all to believe that after 15 to 20+ years of faithfully playing TW, (give or take a few years/months here and there.) You are relying your carpal tunnel condition soley upon the noble profession of carpentry in-which you partook for 20+ years (respectively.) Personally I think tacking down nails far pails by comparison, to the physical exertion brought on by a matched-set of good ol' TW. I think the Gray Lensman is suffering from the physiological disorder commonly referred to throughout the health care community as: Simple TradeWars Denialicause. [:D]
Sorry, I could not resist, I thought what you said was funny because of the comparison of the repercussions of hard manual labor VS kicking back at a keyboard pounding away at keys while tipping a cold one. I hope you beat out your CTS, might help if you think of it as a L-6 planet just there for the taking... hahahaa
You know JC was a carpenter, I wonder if he would have choosen to be a professional TW warrior instead, you know if it was around back then; just think how that could have impacted our world's history! For starters TradeWars might actually be considered an Occupation, getting podded would be referred to as just an 'occupational hazard' and the orginal founders of TW might now be referred to as: 'The Apostles'. [:O]

I think Bethel is trying to break Slims record, speaking of which, I haven't heard from him in a while, from both EIS posts and ICQ, I hope he is okay!!!

Psion, you've said multiple times on this thread the only reason you write your 1000 word posts is because you are out to get me. It is clear I am in your head. It not just my argument that won or my unbreakable analogy, its the fact you have had to defend so furiously this territory you primordially need to pee on to mark as your own. The joke is funny whether or not you realize you are it. But, why not post your absolute denial again?
