Im pretty sure amy is a very lazy person. Amy did not do anything to help us out and when I asked amy why she\he did this she said "now I can do what I want to do" to me this is not an excepted practice or tatic.
playing red or evil does not make you a bad person, screwing someone even in a game is. thats all I have to say on this Im glad so many people chimed in.

Lewd, this Amy sounds like the female Magic who done the same to my corp years ago. and I agree with you, if she said it that way.

I think the SysOp/GameOp should check to see if the player was duping, (if at all possible.) If so that would incite premeditation and possible conspiracy to gain an unfair game advantage. Players are there to have fun not to be setup for the CHT can by a chum-bucket group of players. On the other hand it is each corperations responsiblity to handle their members not the SysOps/GameOps, you should have dumped his butt after realized he was a sluff. A similar incident happened to me long ago when I was kicking butt and takin name on BRE, it was one of the first times I let somebody I didnt know into my Corp., everthing was honky dorey for the first week then one day I logged on only to find he had cleaned me out and then he and another player attacked me and destroyed my empire... I was so sad, but hey I learned that I had one more enemy to watch out for from now on... and besides that was the only way they would have been able to get me, cause I was seriously dominating that game!! boy-howdy !! [:D]

It nice to know Some SYSOPS read my posts. I wasnt trying to blame all sysops, but more and more i find servers where i never see them in game just to say hello, no e-mail addy or a old one that dont work.
basicly game is on AUTO PILOT. so if i have question, or need
somthing, sysop is non existant. but i will admit i found a handful
of server where the sysops are more than helpful, and make me feel
welcome, and like i belong there. in this game of DOG eat DOG,
corp agianst corp, that i have a server or 2 i can call home!

let get something straigh i start this new game at simplemind i ask dynarri to team up so its me and him he say he has 3 other buddies that r good and want to play i agree. 2 days later dynarry steal all my stuff drops my corp. now iam left with a couple of guys i have never played with and are friend with dynarri!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what would u do???????? all i did was kick them out didnt take anything from them sent them kicking rock thats it, plus the game had been going on for 4 or 5 days and i never seen him on!!!!! that the truth

those iss you guys were cruzing around in my sst $$$ payed for them!!!! in 5 day 3 blue put may 23k colo on 1 planet, and they had 1.5k turns a day. nowbie thats the real story

See, lying isn't going to help. I didn't ask you, you asked me. And this
is why I don't think a sysop should get involved. Petty personal crap and
way too many sides to every story. You took all of our cash, planets,
everything. You kept getting blown up. See the other post, I don't want
to go into it here. Hell, I don't want to go into it at all.

We weren't in an ISS. It was a pirate's edit. [Note: If I were prone
insulting your experience this would be the point where I'd throw in
a newbie comment about knowing the difference.] We were in Cutters,
which aren't great. All of our figs had been thrown away by you trying
to pop planets at SD and getting podded by people quicker than you. You
hadn't been SSTing at all, you hadn't even gotten started. The planets
had 0 cash, and you hadn't put a single colo on there. Me and another
player had, the player that let me know what was going on. All of that
work we had put in and you kept throwing it away, so we decided to form
a new corp. Can't let someone take assets from the corp without
returning them. They have to be treated as an investment. Since it was
your corp, you were technically the CEO and I couldn't do anything
to stop the bleeding except cut off the limb.

I sent you a message telling you I was leaving. I sent one to Z too,
but appearantly people don't read their messages. He and I talked later
that day and I tried to explain what happened. I guess I didn't do a
good job, as later the above post was made. I wish it hadn't been, I hate
soap opera-style drama. I was talking with arc when he came on, we had
been playing there the longest and were sick of seeing our crap thrown
away. We hadn't even been a corp for more than a day or 2. I made a
mistake joining yours, that had became appearant very quickly.

I could've attacked you, I didn't. I could've claimed the other corp
planets, I didn't. I could've claimed everything... I didn't. I didn't
want to. I just wanted back what I had put in, what we had put in...
so it wouldn't keep getting thrown away. As you so delicately put it
the "other 2 guys" hadn't been in the game but for one day. So why are
you making a bit about the colonization (and there were more than that,
but considering the details that were missed... I can't fault you for
that as an extreme) then?

Funny thing, obviously you can't be that upset. Yesterday you asked
to join another game that I'm in.

Anyway, this is why a sysop should not get involved with the affairs
of his/her players. Because it turns into a political drama with people
trying to make a case against each other, and eventually someone gets
screwed as a result. But there are quite a few very bored players out
there that have nothing better to do. It's just a game folks. Just a
game.

So before I go any further, let's take a look here... Obviously a lack
of consistent details is the first tip-off that something's wrong with a
story. Who's story has been more consistent, has a better logical flow?
If we're going to "present our case" then why don't we let the readers
here be the judge? Who has the most credibility? Otherwise, why don't we
just drop it?

Exactly. Lets just get over the petty problems - and enjoy a great game.

As someone else said in another post maybe JP will put a boxing ring in the SD on the next version so the players who disagree will get to duke it out.

But really as a sysop I feel we shouldn't get involved in these matters, but as a player as well I know how having someone that was in the corp to take everything and run feels too. The solution to this is be careful on who you let into your corp, and read one of my earlier posts about having back up sects just in case, then have fun making the accused players life miserable and get all the stuff that was took back.

As for Smokey and Singularity, I wasn't in on the game that what ever happened, but I do agree to what Singularity said, " That there are more sides to the story", there always are, and it gets complicated to prove who did what unless the sysop is able to be online in game 24/7 to monitor and referee, this is why most sysops feel it shouldn't be a sysops job to get involved on such matters, and Zilla they happen more often than most sysops post, but what are we to do, if we side with one side or the other the opposite side will say that the sysop is unfair in siding with the other, so we try to stay neutral, and hope the players can work it out amongst them selves, but if they can't and it really disrupts the game then we should see whats going on and resolve the issue, but only as a last resort to keep the game in tact and resume it. It's all about the politics of the game, and the sysop tries to stay neutral and hope the players can resolve it, because sysops don't want to be branded as bad sysops, one way or the other, so being neutral is our recource to let the players settle it themselves and hope they keep coming back, I myself at times try to help resolve issues on my server like this and hope the players think I am being fair about it.

And the players know I do stop in time to time to check up on what is going on and ask for any possible problems with the game so I can correct it.

But in the end it is the sysops server, and sometimes the sysop doesn't like having to do what is best for the server, and it is about the players. We give them a place to play, the only safe thing a sysop can do to prevent any backstabbing within corps is to post it in game rules. Which in turn hurt the server, cause some possible future players will think the sysop is being unfair and not play, so there is the double edge sword. Dam;ned if you do and dam;ned if you don't.

Asking some one to corp with you can either be an advantage or a royal pain in the Butt. If you trust your corpies you have no problems, but if you allow random people to corp with you: you #1. don't whine to eis forums when you are the ONLY one to allow said player to access your "private" stuff.

This is like giving a bumb money to get a cup of coffee and then complaining when he throws the coffee at you and stains your shirt.
If you want to take a chance on corpies then you take a chance on corpies;
just remember there are bad corpies and corpies that can screw you over if you let them. But as my grandparents used to say what goes around comes around.

And also remember this is only a game... Don't let some lowlife idiot cause you any grief. Just remember not to let any lowlife idiots join your corp.

Now for a different take on this IMHO the only reason a person would screw over a team they were associated is because they have a fetish about badgers.
