Yeah, a Red can do gridding, and can defend thier grid, and cash. But if your red dies while gridding, it's a pain to get them back in game and get their exp back. If a blue dies...well...shrug. Until you get mobiles, blues have an easier time defending their grid in stockish games. Given a choice between at most 50% more cash, and at best 100% more grid, I'll take grid. Especially early in the game, where more grid means less enemy explored %.

It really comes down to edits of course, and your competition, but all things being equal, I'd do it my way till I got mobiles. Mobiles change everything...and having more grid and more defenders means you are more likely to get mobiles in the first place.

well i had fun , not, boring millitary style corp game, sat around for endless hours before giving up on this game, i would also like to add that this game appears to be a showcase of the so called elites using scripts that no one thats not in the loop has. Its a killing field of newbs for the so called elite, and they use the newbs to make them cash so they can fight it out. My own corp spent more time bashing me than teaching me, was killed on the practice server so i could not practice, thanks oz, and for the most part underutilized, as i feel that having someone who wants to learn more about hand to hand combat and instead was told to grid so the elites on my corp could have a better chance at killing the other corp, thats all fine, but when this game is over i return to the same thing, game in which the elite all join together to beatup on the players who are single players trying to get better, but if your not accepted as part of a group or perma you're left out in the dark.
As for making new friends, i feel as though i have no friends in the corpwars world, if i do they are unknown to me, and believe me i play in alot of games with a lot of people, and i dont consider any of them to be my friends, correct me if im wrong! But it seems as though the status quo is what is ruining the game and making new players not play, and therefor the numbers of players is dwindling slowly away. No new blood equals death to the game.

Master you could of atlest done it an a loaded iss and gave otu base locations on fed that would of taught k3 for not payign enough attention to you for real tho you think people will corp with you after that stunt? i know i never would

I think the game could do without new blood with your attitude, to be honest. You were probably ready to quit from the first minute because you couldn't name yourself "?" anyway. [:P]

Honestly, though, why would you expect to be allowed to go straight to the front lines in your first tourney? You have to show you have potential by doing the grunt-work first, THEN you can work your way up the corporate ladder (heh).

Course I'm biased, I can't do the fast-react stuff so I'd probably ask to just be a colonizer drone. Even gridding I'd just get killed because I can't react to someone warping into the sector in under a tenth of a second. [;)]

I am not a turncoat, just an unhappy player, and as far as you corping with me, you never would have before, and i see no reason to think that you ever would have in the future reguardless of this incident

I also posted on the corp. forum to ICQ me if you are at keys and need something to do I never got an ICQ you also could have ICQ' me when you were locked out of the practice game I would have let you in I didn't know oz #sd# you. as for the last few days of game play I told you last night you need to speak up I would have had you comished and on the grid 2 days ago today kemper told you what to do you cby'ed instead. I had 12 people I had to get started with limited resources i was busy.
Also I'm sorry but being on the kill and invade team also includes griding and being at keys.

I for one am glad that I don't have to look at your butt in corp wars. Your attitude shows in your posts and your avatar. You had an opportunity to learn from some excellent players who are on your team. It's your loss that you didn't have the maturity to get through it.
