We've all heard the story, the little boy who cried wolf. The first time he called out "Dupe! Dupe!" and the Sysop came quick to delete Ender.

Godzillia, let me make one thing clear to you, I am not a DUPE nor have I ever duped in a game that does not allow it. Sure i've duped in DUPE CHESS, or a game that specifically notes that it is allowed, besides that I have never duped. Let me warn you, a sysop may let his reputation be ruiend over your mouth, but not more than 1 or 2.

Go crawl back into the ocean cave where you belong. AND NEVER let my alais come from your mouth again.

This just in after talking to the little Lizzard, it appears that some others are to blame, just as much as the little lizzard who couldnt. Vid Kid :: I caught Ender duping on my server! What a joke, if this is true, Vid Kid I DONT PLAY on your server becuase you suck as a sysop. Your server sucks, your game setups suck, you suck. Vid Kid, your a joke, just like the pictures of you I have saw implie. Ender dupes, chump you can go back to your little island where you belong...

Vid's world was once an open server but because I was pleaged with
dupes .. some say bothers ..dad's and mothers .. but IP's matched ..and in most cases p/w too.

So from my point , I was forced to close server and use some form of web based sign ups .. or continue checking logs for matching IP's and such ..

The was once a player named Ender at my server ..many years ago ..
He had been caught and left .. I don't recall the other names ..
Dark something or other comes to mind ..but its all mute .. he doesnt play there now and I'm just as happy.

I moved on .. maybe others will .. but as far as my server sux .. well .. play somewhere else .. I don't miss babysitting [:D]

All others .. Hope we can continue Trade Wars for another 10 years. [;)]

Ok. Since I'm the sysop in question I guess I'll answer this. First, I don't play in that game and yes, I got a few e-mails from players in the game saying duping was taking place. Now, I tried to check people's ip addresses, that didn't check out as unless you have a static ip from your provider, the ip address will be different.

I couldn't write an e-mail to ender in the games as I never had his e-mail addresses, just ip addresses. So, since that wasn't an option, I had to go by what other players in the game said. Didn't matter if it was VidKid, Godzilla or Harry's Monkey. Complaints are complaints and when rules are posted and it appears they've been violated I have to act. I talked to coke last night and explained why I did what I did and while he didn't like it, he had to see the logic in what I said. And as I told coke, I may be sysop but I'm still human and do make mistakes and when I make them, I'll admit to them.

Now, all that being said, since Ender was the one deleted from the game, WHY didn't Ender write me an e-mail wondering 'what he'd done wrong'? Coke did, the ceo was going to but Coke beat him to it but Ender didn't. He just came in here moaning and groaning and bad-mouthing. Personally, I don't care. Ender is NOT banned from the server, simply deleted from a game. Ender doesn't want to play on my server any more? No problem. He's never played on my server before to my knowledge and if he leaves, he really won't be missed.

Oh, one last thing. There is an old saying "Me thinks he doth protest too much" This has always been the case when someone DOES in fact get caught doing something they shouldn't. Instead of saying 'hey, i did such and such and I apologize' the guilty usually protest, moan and groan, cry in their beer and badmouth whoever caught them at it.

Zill, you were wrong. We didn't have duping going on. What you did have was us for the most part dominating the game. The only thing you have is half the collies by our count. Granted we had a full corp and a lot more turns to out cash you, but that's because Stockton actually icq'ed around to find people to fill up our corp. Let me ask you this, what looked strange that caused you to believe anyone was duping? This is the one thing that I believe is bugging me the most.

On a side note, Vid, you're a good sysop (even if you like aleins)

lol if ender duped who is his dupe and why wasnt the dupe deleted? and what exactly constitutes something looking like duping? if a corp fills to capacity it must be dupes right??? ender joined us late and if anything wouldnt he be one of our dupes?? how can a late player who is joining a full corp have a dupe? maybe he wanted to go grid with other figs to hurt his own corp i dont know, anyways it was absurd, we kicked Butt and took names ahab, you sound like a good and fair guy, but i do disagree with u, u should of further inquired into the matter rather than assuming on one persons word that something "looked" like duping.

Zillia what I meant by the line I dupe in games that dont forbid it, you must know games that are for duping lets say DUPE CHESS, ever heard of that one?? DUPE CHESS, and games like that specifiy DUPE in the title and rules I dupe in. If their are no rules about duping avaliable, I assume duping is not ok, it is illegal, and there fore I do not dupe. As far as what VidKid told you, I dont trust you as far as I can throw you. I will post what you send me how and when I like. Its freedom of expression, and in no way did we have any agreement specifiying other wise. Dont want your messages public?? Dont post them.

Ok now to you Ahab, a little note, IF you have two players connected at the SAME time, no matter what, the IP's will match, and since ALL of my corp was on at the same time, its apparent that IF the IP's didnt match, then their was no dupe among us. The thing is, we didnt dupe, Stockton is one of the better CEO's I have met. The rest of the corp knew their jobs, knew how to run, and we all know the game, thats WHY we dominated, and thats still why Stockton and the Foundation will rule that game.

Something I still dont get....just as stockton asked, if I was duping Ahab, why werent their two names deleted from the corp??

Sorry Dan, I had to come back to answer that one question of why only 1 name deleted. I honestly didn't think to delete the dupe AND duper, and since Ender was the one named 'the dupe', Ender was the only name I deleted.

daniel i think you could have gone at this a different way, perhaps icq vidkid? there was no need to say those things you said in your second post.. vid has been around for a long time, and will continue to be around for much longer.

my corp only had 2 players, and i told STOCKTON, i was not realy playing,,it was a test game, he asked if i was going to stay in game,,, just so thay hade a LITTLE competition, i said ok ill stay in game till his corp won. my other corp member Lucky Dog,,,for the last 2 weeks been playing Diablo online. so he was not realy playing.
and for the last 2 days i have been on another game, and yes your corp got a real good head start in game.

but the point is i dont have time to listen to all this crying
over a game i realy was not INTO. so Make a chioce so i know where we stand, and i WILL ack acordinly!!!
