(in which i am still trying to learn. in which i really dont really understand.

OK, when you run SST what you want to do is have 2 COLTS sitting under XXB ports. You start in one, upgrade it a bit if need be to put equip on the port. Then you steal equip, xport to the other ship, steal equip. Xport back to the first, sell the equip, then steal more, and so on. So no, you're not actually moving the ships to different ports until you bust. And a fake bust happens when you try to rob the same port twice in a row. Anytime you rob the same port twice in a row, you ALWAYS bust, but its not a real bust (hence why its called a fake bust). If you rob a different port, you can go back and rob the port you fake busted at. Whereas with a real bust, you cannot rob at that port again until busts are cleared, which is a server setting, but is commonly 1 day.

One reds busts can also be cleared by another red busting at that same port.
Oh yea also a fake bust will not clear a real bust.

In answer to the above, with a draft game of Genocide, than BG happens usually in the summer, I'll probably go with a bring your own game. I'm actually thinking of doing Chess edits. Usually 4 man corps, but could be more I guess.

If you choose not to use Chess Edits(<- Excellent game), may I suggest another Killer Instinct? Also and this is just my personal opinion, but i beleive that the Moon Patrol edits are well balanced and don't get alot of exposure.
BYOC is also good after the many drafts.

Hey akishi, if you're looking for a corp and wanting to learn red, Cohesive Chaos is going to be looking for a new red after USO, we're not a vet corp but we're definately not noobs either. Check out the link in my sig line for the corp web page, also feel free to PM or ICQ me if you've got any questions about playing red.

We could get river rat to try to do another Lethal Lotto maybe- that was always spring time...it's purely random draw instead of ceo's choosing.

On that same topic, Would people find it more interesting say if there were 50 players signed up for a big game. And instead of having 4 Corps of 12 or so, We could have like 12 Corps of 6. This would benefit the CEO's (Smaller number of players to oversee) and might also spread out the talent some.
I'm all for the "Ole" Standard fare of games each year (USO,HHT,Lethal Lotto,Chess and such) but I think Jhereg is on to something with this re-occurring, large format game idea. Some tinkering with the setup could result in some adventurous games!

Both are good ideas.
Maybe Jhereg could start adding a wildcard team to the bring your own corp games might give some of the newer players a chance to play.
I just remember how hard it was to get into the bigger games back when I really didn’t know anyone.

I could easily do that. For the record, I usually play with one perma corpie maybe two depending on game size, and whoever else ask me, or fits the schedule. So next game if Lethal Lotta doesn't happen after uso, I'll probably have a 50% newb to intermediate team.
