A Wikipedia TW2002 article has been written. Edits are encouraged. In particular, the article could use some more/better screenshots.

Needs more than just screenshots. If this is to help new traders it needs a lot of work vets. Or we could just erase everything and put a link to traitors site. hehe
The players seek to gain control of a limited set and amount of resources (specifically fuel ore, organics, and equipment) and travel through sectors of the galaxy trading them for money or undervalued resources. Players use their wealth to upgrade their spaceship with better weapons and defenses and fight for control of planets and starbases.

I only thought there were figs and shields, am i missing out on something better?

well, i am reading over it right now and well, im not sure where this information was compiled from, but some of it is straight up incorrect.
random:
A TW2002 galaxy consists of at least 1,000 interconnected sectors
100-20000 sectors
for ex when talking about fedspace:
No staying overnight with more than 50 fighters.
No launching marker beacons or genesis torpedos.
its over 100 figs and you can only *not* shoot gtorps in sector 1

talking about cits:
Level 2 - Combat Control Computer (deploys fighters at 3:1 combat odds)
Level 5 - Shields (deploys shields at 20:1 combat odds)

its 3:1 defending, 2:1 attacking for figs
yes it is 20:1 BUT it takes 10 ship shields to make 1 planet shield so doing the math, its really only 2:1 odds for what you put into it.

Planetary Twarp:
It is possible to destroy enemy planets by building several planets up to Level 4 and then TransWarping them into the enemy sector, causing a collision.

omfg lol. that is NOT a good strategy. its much cheaper to just shoot gtorps in the sector.

and it goes on and on with either severely outdated, easily misinterprited, or straight up incorrect information.
it is a nice idea, but, until the information is corrected, i suggest no new person read this site as it will confuse the hell out of them.

Slim, in case you're not familiar with Wikipedia, its a completely USER written encyclopedia. You don't even have to register or log in or anything. Just click one of the edit links, change whatever it is you like, and hit save. Its even updated right away. So if you are bored, you can fix/rewrite anything on there that you want to.

If we could get some of the better players together to edit it, it could be very useful.

xide is still developing twx, traitor is still updating the website (sometimes, heh) hellcat didnt really do anything but kill a buncha people and say "heh" but you better believe that if you say the name hellcat, people know who you are talkin about. i tell newbs about TWX and they ask a question, and i say i'll ask Xide, and they say who is Xide.... or i send a newb to tw-cabal and they ask a question and i say i'll ask Traitor and they'll say who is Traitor. but if i say have u heard of a guy named hellcat? well, newbs prolly wouldnt know him either. heh. but my point is a whole hell of alot of people who never played with hellcat, know about him... he is famous... and we are voting for hall of FAME.
dont get me wrong, xide and traitor, hell oz k3 and them all, they are all my buddies, but the most deserving IMO to be in hall of FAME is cat. (when u guys retire you'll be voted in )

Well, I disagree. Xide for Hall. Active or not. Many on that list are deserving, but TWX changed TW.

And don't get me started on Jackal. No way he gets a shot based on his past. Cheaters don't belong.

Xide DID change the game, more than prolly anyone other than JP ever will, but, he's active. (sorta)

So your saying Traitor should just take tw-cabal down and you'de vote him into the hall for it? Both xide and traitor have contributed greatly to tradewars, both are deserving. It's Whatever you vote for, it will be something that has changed the course of trade wars history. Flip a coin both are deserving, i say we rig a tie get both in at once. I've read stuff about hellcat but i use cabal every couple of days and twx everytime i log on now. Those two are more important to me. Question really is who do we want to put in this year, theres 2,3,maybe 4 that are deserving but we can't put them all in. Who deserves it this year... ini mini miney mo...

no, he doesnt have to take the cabal down, just stop playing/updating... and since i wont let him do that <g> he cant retire.
