Does anyone know if there is a limit of ships per sector? I'm not talking about fedspace, I am talking about any given sector. I have place forty or so ships to a sector and got bored. Any ideas?

Thanks, -- LD --

there is no limit on ships, manned or unmanned in any sector, fed or otherwise.
if you have unmanned, untowed ships in fed (or MSL), they will get repossessed. anywhere else you are golden.

I'm not sure but i would say there is no limit to how many ships are in a sector, because i was in a game one time and i scaned a sector that had to have over a 100 ships in it. ( never counted them ) but there was alot.

i apologize.
there is a max.
it is the max amount of ships allowed in game by the sysop.
(off the top of my head, the max is 8000)

hope that helps even more. :)

Incidentally, unmanned ships are never towed, just reposessed... and that only happens in fed.

Do you want to set a password for this ship? (Y/N) No

Before you leave, the salesperson reminds you to move the
ship out of FedSpace as soon as possible, since the Feds
will repossess any unmanned ships left there overnight (no
littering!).

<Transport to Ship>

WARNING! Any unmanned ships in FedSpace will be automatically
repossessed if left there overnight (no littering!).

Yah yah, I said towed. Meant repoed, yah caught me :).

Anyway, there is no limit to ships in a sector, except for max ships in a game.
