Traitor - I'm disapointed in you. While the 1677 is ignored, the enter is not. When you hit enter at that Y/N prompt, No is the default. You can not self destruct trying to use the planetary transport unless you're pressing the wrong keys anyway.
Hmmm. I've swear to god I've done this before. But I just tested too. Hmmm.

Terminal auto-replies sometimes help. Zoc's has saved my Butt from accidental CBY a couple of times. Though if you type very fast or paste something in to do it, it won't catch it in time.
But yeah the best advice is don't be a newb.
Password CBYing would certainly throw a kink if you need to do it quickly, at least untill everyone gets smart and sets up a macro or mini script to do it. Personally id go with a Zoc button tied to a TWX script so it will already know the password. People would adapt! Hell im for it.
Besides, this game unadmittingly mimics Star Trek, and they always gotta have like 3 mofo's passwords to blow up the Enterprise!

and another thing, why shouldn't the advantage go to the dude who does the newbie thing, instead of the guy who just wants to cby so the dude who just photoned him doesn't get his cash?
doesn't make sense to me.

Well, after some a lot of testing (including testing previous versions) I have arrived at the following conclusion: I made a newbie mistake the time I blew myself up. I couldn't find any circumstance in which if I typed in the sequence properly, i would CBY. SO. The only possible explanation is I must have dropped the enter.
cb4745yy instead of cb4745*yy.

You know, the more and more I hear it referred to as a newbie mistake, the less I like the tag. Why dont we just call it ****ing up, as thats really what it is? [:D]

newbies **** up the most. when they accidentally cby, its just called a mistake, but when someone decent does it, its called a newbie mistake because they are playing like a newbie ie: as though it was the first time they played the game.
being a newbie is not a bad thing, it just means they are new. its not their fault they are a newb, they just started playing.
