Heh, I know I said I wouldn't post here again, but this is just too good to not post.

I went to the following site by invitation of Wildstar

I wasn't sure who ran it, but the first thing I noticed is that the game has "truce" rules, but there are no truce rules to be found anywhere on the server. There are also NO addresses where these truce rules can be found. Several people told me a "1 day" truce rule. Well, there were ALSO not rebang times posted, so the logical conclusion is truce end is at the second externals of the game.

At 9 O' Clock the sysop logs into the game (Bone Head Cruncher) and "announces" the "end of the truce" with most of the people running scripts with their messages off!

Of course, Heat Sink, knowing this would happen was waiting!

This is a the worst and most disorganized, ridiculous set ups I've seen in my entire history of the game.

Right on the main ansi is the website address, plus ICQ and email contact information in case you had a problem. If you visit the website, there is a link on the main page to "Server Rules." I think you owe bone collector an apology. It is not his fault that you were careless in finding out the specifics of a game you chose to play in, especially when he made it so easy to do so.

When you use the ! command there is nothing about rules.

NO TIMES LISTED FOR GAME REBANG, nothing at all about truce end dates, times, etc.

Go to ANY other server and you will find the information in question ON the server UNLESS you arrive at that server FROM the web site address (or from a BBS).

Madd Anthony (my perma corp member) had to ASK Bone Crusher where the truce rules were. While I played the game I was asked by 4 other people where the truce rules were, and when would the truce end?

It's just a very poorly put together server, plain and simple! The man actually assumes that everyone knows that a web site address he places underneath the server name is where you go That's assuming you even NOTICE the web site address, which, at least 5 people that I know for sure DID NOT notice this address.

He clearly does NOT know how to run a TWARS server. Perhaps he is just so deluded as to his own "popularity" that he thinks posting this information in clear concise language for his users is "unecessary" cuz everyone knows. Laff.

That's the actual comic relief of it all.

But, actually, he doesn't go into detail because he doesn't CARE about the users who don't already know him. They aren't part of his little "clique" so why should he give them information? Let them figure it out!

He wrote 24 hour truce....and I told you that man. We just screwed up. I was not paying attention to the time, and was thinking it's at extern. My stupid lazyness for not being at keys at the time. It's no big deal SGO, just a game. Hey I'm still alive....I got 250k of figs..i'll kill all of homicide inc. myself, ok? =-)~

Let me see if I got this right your bashing Bone Collector's tw site, where many people play all the time, and have no problem. Dude I think you have a problem with the entire world, I suggest you stay offline and dont play anymore so you wont be bothered so badly in life.

Now, perhaps I need to be a bit more clear and for that I apologize. Since you are a logical little guy I would have thought that you might be able to put two and two together. These forums are on EST and that is posted at 8:41pm Friday night. It says games will open in 15 minutes. If you would use LOGIC you could then see that 8:56 EST plus 24 hours is 8:56 PM EST on Saturday night. Of course, you only pretend to be logical. Kinda like you pretend to be a writer:

The menu screen clearly states the servers website. How could you NOT assume that...

means that the website listed directly under the server title is the place to go.

The server menu gives an ICQ contact number for BC and you need only go to the website (the one that you did not assume to be correct) to get his email address.

LOGIC - dictates that you would at least try this website before complaining.

Since the truce end time was known by other players (whether or not it was listed on the website) nobody should need the sysop to come into the game and announce it anyway! And 24 hours on most servers means 24 hours from the time the game first opened, which with BC is usually 7-9pm, so second exturn is a little bit past 24 hours. Never ASSUME or you make an Butt outa U and ME...or in this case just U.

The server may be set up different than those you are used do but there is nothing disorganized or ridiculous about it. The fact that you are not the only one who failed to recognize all the signs, only proves that your not the only blind person out there.

How do blind people play TW anyways???

Bone COLLECTOR (not cruncher or crusher) runs a good site and is easy to get ahold of (most all of the time) and is always more than happy to solve any problems in the best way possible. yes, we all have been caught up by his tricky 24 hour truce (thinking it is at extern) but when people start attacking, they probably know something you don't follow the crowd also a good point, people who sit and run scripts afk LOSE, people at keys WIN. he has his icq and email as up on the twgs as plain as day, just like the website address. i have never, not ONCE connected to his twgs and NOT seen his contact information. you either are running your swath with F'd up color settings or just decided to stop reading after you read the words Sysop: Bone Collector (at the very top of page)
now, i have never had a problem finding rules and such, does that mean that i don't use logic??? i agree with K3 and think BC is owed an apology. heck i even once had a problem on the site and i talked to BC on icq about it (i didnt bring it to the forums, as that is where you are supposed to bash loki) and the problem was resolved.
i have much respect for BC and think this was uncalled for.
SGO you know i don't sit and rip on you for whatever reasons (i do crack jokes) but i never do anything mean intentionally. i get along with you just fine, but again, this is uncalled for.

Ok a little explanation as to why I prefer the truce to happen at 8 pm instead of at extern. First of all, extern on my server is 1 am EST. Many of my games bang on weekdays and that means that people would have to stay up until the early morning hours in order to enjoy the beginnings of the attack period. Secondly, if you are unlucky enough to die at the very beginning of the attack period and the truce ended at extern, you would be out for the day and that would cripple many teams. However, if truce is over at 8 pm and you die at 8:20 pm then you only have to wait for 3 hours 40 minutes. MOST teams have multiple decent players and are able to survive for that long if they lose their top guy. I hope that clarifys why i do the truce the way i do it.
