Kind of a bit off topic. Not far off but a bit. The links below are to a couple of salute videos I put together dedicated to my US Navy and Marine Corps team.

http://www.evil70thstreetpeople.com/navy-marine2003.wmv Last year.

http://www.evil70thstreetpeople.com/navy-marine2004.wmv This year.

Check them out and let me know what you think

Thanks,
Brian

Man...I LOVE Carmina Burana. That is first (and last) movement "O Fortuna" playing in the first video for those of you who don't know. I was actually able to perform it this past semester at the University of Georgia. Good stuff man.

Rock! Ahhhhh!

First Bone and now Loki… Well at least we can see eye to eye on world politics.

As far as me misspelling Bin Lippens’s name… I don’t believe anybody here really cares as long as he dies.

Lets not forget how we won WWII. We dropped 2 nukes on Japan. We were not bombing military targets. We were killing civilians. We have gotten too soft as a nation. We have to break the moral of the people who wish to do us harm. You have to ask yourself, is your family worth Iraq? Is it worth Iran? If I had a vote, either Iran turns to glass or my family has to suffer from a bio attack… Iran is going radioactive folks.

Yep, I just supported the killing of millions of people. These are the same people that did not stand up in outrage over what happened with Nick Burg… Screw Em! They want WMD’s … *** ****it… give it to them!

Besides, with the prices of fuel reaching over $2.00 a gallon for 93 in South Carolina, wouldn’t it be nice if the price of glass fell due to the abundant amount in the Middle East?

Thanks. Carmina Burana is one of my favorites too.

It was not meant as an insult. I was not picking on you as I stated when I made the point. It was part of a broader point I wanted to make. I have from my own experience in the real world and even in games, found it is easier to win when I understand what motivates my enemies.

I could've sworn he was a 'compasionate conservative'. Yes, I remember him saying that. Come to think of it, I also recall him saying 'it is not a war against Islam'. Sounds like you should vote him out. As for asking myself that question. I don't have to ask myself. In my long career I have done more than my fair share to ensure my family, my friends and my fellow Americans are secure and safe. I did these things because it was my job, not because I enjoyed it.

That is your choice. Isn't freedom of speech great. What a great country we live in.

California is well over $2.25 a gallon for 87 in most areas and going higher. I drive a motorcycle. Saves me money, and I just love riding. Very peaceful and relaxing. Definately lowers the blood pressure. You all have a good weekend.

I never claimed to be a “compassionate conservative.” Considering John F’ing Kerry flip flops more than any woman I have ever dated, I will stand by George W. Granted there are some things that I do not agree with. I will not vote for somebody who will say whatever to the audience just to win points with them.

And I wasn't refering to you.

By the way, I'm sure you all may have heard but it appears they have caught at least two of the scumbags that murdered Mr. Berg.[:)]

Actually four o them ****ers!

Brian
I believe we misunderstood each other. I am all about laying some smack down on whoever wants to hurt us and I did not mean that we should be afraid of them. My line of thought was more on we should be afraid of what could happen...and use that as motivation to ensure it doesn't. Which we have been doing quite well.

So far as Iraq goes...Consider the earth Metropolis and the U.S. Superman. With our without the WMD we put a bad man down. And if we don't get any ***** presidents in the future (AHEM Kerry) the world will learn not to **** around or soon they won't be around.

PHX,
I understand your point. For myself I have never liked the word fear, or any derivative of it like afraid. I prefer to be aware of the dangers, or be vigilant against further attacks. We as a country and as a people should never fear anything or anyone.

I agree we put a bad man down. The only point I was making about WMD's or the lack of them is that was sited as a major reason for going into Iraq. If he received bad intel then those that gave it need to be reprimanded or replaced. If he was advised that reports of WMD was not crediable and used it anyway as a reason to go then he should be reprimanded or replaced.

As for Kerry being a ***** as you said. He served in a war that many others didn't. Yes he came back and spoke out against it. But he was there. He served and was decorated for it. I find it interesting how after he began running for President his "commanding officer" came forward and tried to say he was a "substandard sailor". He practically called him a coward. This is the same man who would have had to put in the recommendations for the Bronze Star Kerry was awarded. This is also the same guy who signed Kerry's fitness reports prasing him for his leadership and devotion to duty. This calls into question the motives of Kerry's former commanding officer. He was good enough as long as he wasn't challenging Bush for President.

Having said that, do I think that service in the military should be a requirement to be President? Nope. The military is directed by civilian authority and should be. That is why we have members of the military to advise the President. Does it help if they have prior military service. Yes. Especially if it was combat experience. Then they understand the true cost of war. But is it required, again I say no.

Reading many of your posts from various parts of the board somehow I don't think you are that concerned over being popular.[:)] Besides why should you be? In this thread you and others have made some good points. Some I may not agree with but as I have said before our freedom and our diversity are what make us a great country. Anyone, anywhere, who thinks it makes us weak is gravely mistaken.

Thanks,
Brian

Iraq admitted to having WMDs in the early 90’s. It was up to them to get rid of them. The burden of proof was on Iraq to prove that they got rid of them NOT for us to prove that they still had them.

Heh, I somehow feel....dirty. Hell is getting awful cold if doog and I are agreeing on anything.

As for voting Bush out...well, again I agree with doog. The alternative would be way worse than anything Bush could do. He is not perfect but I assure America is safer now than it would be with ted kennedy jr as president.

We also talked recently about liberal media. In all the things that have happened this weekend, this is the THIRD day in a row that Michael Moore has been one of the top news topics on Yahoo's news on its home page. For some reason I dont think that a conservative producer making movies and winning the cannes (as if anyone cares about the french awards) top film would warrant three days of top news. The media has an agenda and it is obvious to all those who DONT support what they are saying. I wonder how many times that Yahoo has listed in its top news stories the GOOD things we have done in Iraq. None that I can remember. Go figure.

I hate the title of his new movie.

I'm sorry, but Ray Bradbury is a great man who does not deserve any of this political crap spinning off of his classic and timeless comment on human nature.

"Fahrenheit 9/11" makes my blood boil, not for it's content but for it's sheer gall and audacity in using a classic book as it's basis for a title.

ARRGH!

I could be misstaken but I believe that Mel Gibson was in the news a good bit with his movie "The Passion." Before the movie even came out he was getting hell from all over.

Hell... for ANYBODY who beleives that the media does not have an agenda I got some scripts I want them to use.

What do you think Bone.... Allen Keys for President!

Wow, and I only thought you were an idiot! Keys would be awesome, however, I am sure not too many people (even so called conservatives) know who he is. I would give anything for the first black pres to be someone with as much moral character as he has. Of course, he is not shouting "I hate the white man!" like jesse "adulterer" jackson or louis farakhan so he wouldnt have a chance. It is a sad day when people wont vote for someone like Keys but will vote for ted "I drowned a coworker" kennedy.
